67016 failed Monday, DMU substitute Tuesday as result. Stopped job again today 1D34 09 50 Manchester to Holyhead sat down at Llandudno Jn. ECS to Crewe later but sat down again at Colwyn Bay blocking the Eastbound line for a time.. Reported on Yahoo as high revs. 1H89 Holyhead to Manchester started at Chester with a 175/1

Sounds like a bit off a farce, I imagine that Crewe have nothing available to swap 16 for.

If there was, it would have covered the job yesterday. ATW would have to identify a Class 67 that could have been available and arrange movement to Crewe as required.

67001 was the rescue loco and is working the Manchester today.

1K96 19 34 Llandudno to Crewe last night (Tues 22.03) terminated at and dumped at Chester overnight due to unsolicited brake applications on 67002. 67003 running LE from Crewe this morning to rescue and take ECS to Crewe. 175104 working Manchester WAG today in lieu.

Was due to go to Stafford and back on a test run yesterday evening. Presumably it worked since its back in service today.

Problems with Cardiff WAG tomorrow, Wednesday, 15th. Journey Check ATW indicates 1V91 0533 Holyhead to Cardiff will be 3 carriages vice 4 (175/1) and 1W96 1716 Cardiff to Holyhead similar and also terminating Chester. This due to shortage of drivers (not trained)

Manchester WAG has only been LHCS 1 day this week due shortage of drivers with Traction knowledge. Also Holyhead replaced by 175/1 Wednesday for same reason. This seems to be so sudden in the last couple of weeks.

Incidentally, should be on Rugby Specials Holyhead to Cardiff and return on the next three Saturdays

Further to failure of 67022 this morning, the train was almost at Dorrington when it failed and it was allowed to propel back (managed) from rear cab at 25mph to Shrewsbury and into Platform 3
