There were some timetables on stops on Havenbaulk Lane/Kipling Drive yesterday but no flags - nothing at all on Station Road. Some teething problems with missed sections of route according to online tracking, for example this journey looks to missed most of Mackworth Estate (both on the map and the times between stops it did serve)

Could just be down to tracking. Either that, or the driver got lost.

So exciting! Wonder if the scanias will actually get used before then, at this point seems unlikely. The fact they got a spare too might suggest they aren't planning on keeping any of the Plaxtons for the service. Could see TM or Notts and derby recieve a few to replace some of their older coaches. Especially TM since it looks like the scanias are fine-able, whereas the plaxtons arent

Sorry? The Scanias get used. Well, 50/50, I guess. Probably want to realise the value of those existing coaches , to part fund. I'd have thought they were way above anything that TM Travel or Notts and Derby need

The scanias being 73 and 74. 73 not actually doing any work since its been repainted just being sat at the depot and 74 now having a repaint for red arrow i believe.
Notts and derby's coaches are aging quite a lot so getting a few "newer" ones to replace the older ones might make sense as well as allowing them to use them in euro 6 zones if needed. However, half the time the n+d coaches are doing JCB academy work so I doubt they would really end up doing many runs out of derby. Tm are changing their fleet alot recently with them gearing up to become euro 6 compliant, so coach replacement for them would make sense.

The Scania K320IB4 Irizar i4 which are ex red arrow, which were suppost to be going back to trent to aid them with red arrow. Trent were getting the two scanias and notts and derby got 2 ex-stagecoach interdecks

The two Notts & Derby coaches which have been painted grey to be used on Red Arrow if needed. I don't believe they've been used yet since painting
73 still awaits an operational wheelchair lift, then will need a MOT. 74 has gone for painting. Don't think it is back yet.

Could this lead to Trent getting Yutong single deckers? Or will they keep buying ADL, and it's just because Plaxton are dormant?

It must be high time that Wellglade decided what to do with the X38. It really didn't need such a frequency increase. Just agree with Arriva that, in future, they'll operate their share of the route 'properly' - it's giving Wellglade ongoing vehicle and driver problems.

A Trentbarton director has certainly looked at the Yutongs. Maybe change is coming. An interesting read about the GT12 Yutong, in Route 12. Sounds like a very European coach, but built in China.

To be honest, as much as I'm sure Yutongs are better buses, I hope they keep buying ADL to support local industries. There's always Wright as well. Is the GB Hawk EU6 decent? I think it's only been bought by Ulsterbus so far.

Well in terms of the Red Arrow, as I understand it, ADL are not currently offering the coach that Trentbarton would want. Presume that is down to lack of demand. That then might suggest that foreign suppliers see their chance to increase sales.

I'm sure the passengers appreciate sitting inside a microwave
The only bus I've ever been on, on a hot day which hasn't been a microwave is a Yutong (E10/12) so I've got high hopes. They all come with air-con as standard which all UK built buses aren't.

No no no, I was making a joke about passengers being exposed to relatively large amounts of electromagnetic radiation coming from the massive batteries underneath. But this apparently is not harmful.
Would be interesting to see what happens when an electric coach catches fire, and how their batteries are recycled .

These are diesel coaches rather than electric

For context, the GT12 is the two-axle version, which is only available with diesel. The GT13 is the tri-axle variant, which is presently only available as an EV (although a diesel version is in the works).

Kipling Drive (Tesco) on Link 1 now has a flag and timetable. Both Chain Lane and Arundel Avenue still only have the new service coming soon notice on them.

The GT13 is two-axle and 13m long, it's the GT14 that's the tri-axle

Who owns the actual yard as correct me if I'm wrong but erewash community transport and littles travel share the deopt and I'll assume they don't help with spare in the littles yard.

What are the chances they use littles yard as a outstation and see few ilkeston routes using it? (just like some indigo/i4s are kept at derby aswell as nottingham) such as trents ilkeston flyer, the two, 31, 32, 33, 34 or even nottsderbys 27

I wonder if in the future they keep the littles syle livery. In my eyes seems to me it make more sence if littles takes over just the private hire parts of wellglade for example notts derby getting all school contracts and bus services and littles mainly running coaches or just taking it all under the notts derby brand or as I don't feel the depot littles are at will be used as a outstation so mabey moving littles to the langlymill depot is better or even derby although it's very small there with everything else there

Does anyone also know if kinch will be bringing any more buses in to replace the citaro before the 16th when the mot runs out

Talking of kinch does anyone know what happening to 272/4/6 with kinch at the moment as i know they used to be leased to TM so have they been brought yet or will they and if so will they stay at kinch to help with uni services or go back to TM? Find it interesting if they have been brought or will be brought for kinch use as kinch/trent usually buy brand new not second hand.
As far as I know, 272 went back to the lease company, so maybe they all will .

Wellglade appear to have 9 Yutongs on order, to undertake Flixbus work. Blimey, 0 to 19 in no time.

Presumably so there is always a spare which is good to see. Note today there is 3 coaches and 4 spares on the red arrow. Even with two additional mango Volvos, Derby seems to be struggling again with the allestree, mickleover and villager having missing diagrams today.

Ah yes. Looks like 265 went off. Mickleover missing 314 due to RTA....Note that some of the Villagers seem to struggle to run to timetable. Think Versa 827 worked the Mickleover. I'd think the allocation of spare vehicles to a depot, might relate to how profitable it is..
