Now that we have reached the mid-point of 2018, what are the railway stations that are expected to open next year.
Robroyston? I've heard nothing recently, don't know whether construction has started, but was meant to be late next year.
Is Kintore being started during this summer's blockade of the Aberdeen-Inverness line for partial re-doubling?
I used to live in Worcester and most of my contacts there think Worcester Parkway will abstract passengers from surrounding stations and generate a lot of road traffic in a rural area. Do we even know if Cross-Country plans to stop there?
I would have thought Warrington West though that seems to be 'forever delayed'.Now that we have reached the mid-point of 2018, what are the railway stations that are expected to open next year.
PerhapsYou might add the core Crossrail stations as opening in 2019
February 2020 is touted. Miss that and the New Stations Fund money disappears...My list gives December 19 for Portway Parkway, on the Severn Beach line, but this may have slipped
Any chance of a station at White Rose Centre next year or is that being wildly optimistic?

Is Worcestershire Parkway planned to have platforms on both levels? The station is going to be called Worcestershire Parkway.
Of course it will abstract passengers from the stations in the city centre, which aren't exactly easy to reach at busy times of the day on Worcester's limited road network. Foregate Street has no car parking and Shrub Hill just 120 spaces. Some people who currently use Pershore (another staton with very limited parking) will probably switch as well.
As for it being a 'rural' area, there is a group of industrial sheds immediately adjacent to the site and the entrance will be off the main road between Worcester and Pershore, with the M5 a mile away, so it's hardly an oasis of beauty and tranquility.
See this drone footage of the site from July

If so, which was the last station to open which had 2 levels (disregarding CR1/HS1, that is)? Smethwick Galton Bridge I guess?

Not heavy rail, but Victoria Square and Centenary Square will be added to Midland Metro in "late" 2019.
Liverpool South Parkway (but not Allerton!) beats Galton Bridge by about 10 years surely. The present Canning Town station (a resiting of the previous station) is newer by one month.

In February of this year, Paul Finch of Aberdeenshire Council in a meeting of the Kintore and District Council gave a completion date of December 2019.
This website has a bit of info:Do you know how near is the proposed site for the new Robroyston station to the site of the now-closed Robroyston station on the Garnkirk and Glasgow Railway, which opened in 1898 and was closed in 1956.
