Warrington West and Worcester Parkway are both well under construction at the moment.

Is Kintore being started during this summer's blockade of the Aberdeen-Inverness line for partial re-doubling?

Robroyston? I've heard nothing recently, don't know whether construction has started, but was meant to be late next year.

We're supposed to be getting a station in Winchburgh, originally planned for Dec 2018, but there's no sign of anything happening yet and news has gone very quiet on it. Annoying, because I'd use it to commute every day if and when we get it.

My list gives December 19 for Portway Parkway, on the Severn Beach line, but this may have slipped, like other Bristol area reopenings.
I used to live in Worcester and most of my contacts there think Worcester Parkway will abstract passengers from surrounding stations and generate a lot of road traffic in a rural area. Do we even know if Cross-Country plans to stop there?

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England

Do you know how near is the proposed site for the new Robroyston station to the site of the now-closed Robroyston station on the Garnkirk and Glasgow Railway, which opened in 1898 and was closed in 1956.

Just the Nottingham-Cardiff I think.

Any chance of a station at White Rose Centre next year or is that being wildly optimistic?

Is there an up to date list of new stations/planned new stations anywhere at all?

Interested in seeing what the current pipeline looks like.

Not heavy rail, but Victoria Square and Centenary Square will be added to Midland Metro in "late" 2019.

I've had an idea to start a new thread along the lines of a "calendar" so I'll post the link here shortly.

I'll not rant about why a WRC station is a stupid idea again, but:

Wildly optimistic that it could be built and open before 2020 even if they started building yesterday, I'd have thought. It's not an easy section of railway to access with the equipment needed for building a station (wherever LCC thinks they'd want it along there) due to being on a raised embankment hemmed-in by buildings or roadways in most places. Then there's the 7tph passing the site in each direction...

Funny how it takes next to no effort to open stations, yet closing them seems to be such effort that it's "easier" to keep a single train running once a week.
Talk about red tape!

The station is going to be called Worcestershire Parkway.

Of course it will abstract passengers from the stations in the city centre, which aren't exactly easy to reach at busy times of the day on Worcester's limited road network. Foregate Street has no car parking and Shrub Hill just 120 spaces. Some people who currently use Pershore (another staton with very limited parking) will probably switch as well.

As for it being a 'rural' area, there is a group of industrial sheds immediately adjacent to the site and the entrance will be off the main road between Worcester and Pershore, with the M5 a mile away, so it's hardly an oasis of beauty and tranquility.

See this drone footage of the site from July

Is Worcestershire Parkway planned to have platforms on both levels?

If so, which was the last station to open which had 2 levels (disregarding CR1/HS1, that is)? Smethwick Galton Bridge I guess?

The present Canning Town station (a resiting of the previous station) is newer by one month.

I would have thought Warrington West though that seems to be 'forever delayed'.

Well the platform footings and walls are done and the sheet piling to hold back the cutting for the overbridge is done on the Up platform. The cess is ducted on both sides but some connections are still need between up and down underground. Half the car park is asphalted and the station building steels, blockwork and roof are up. I reckon the station will be up and ready way before Northern are running a reliable service to it. It is said to be due in early summer according to the latest council pronouncement.

What shocked to read this station opens in December this year 2019.
Must have passed this site 10 times a week for the last couple of years and never noticed a thing.
Good on the Scottish Government
