when do the increase on fares come into effect? I need to get a monthly ticket starting 6th Jan @ £576. But if i buy it starting 1st Jan its £559. That's 4 days i wont be traveling but maybe its worth it to save £17?
I thought tickets always went up on the first Monday of the year - so 6th Jan. I must be wrong I guess.

Here you go
So yes, any ticket bought for before the 2nd will be at the old price, but now any ticket bought for the 2nd or after will be increased!
