Where could the ex-Heathrow Connect class 360/2s be used? Or will they be scrapped?

I can confirm 360204 and 360205 have been moved today by 37608 to Bicester MOD from Old Oak.

If Angel Trains purchase 5 Class 360/2 Desiros, they could be transferred to East Midlands Railway to work alongside with the existing 21 Class 360/1 Desiros on the London St Pancras to Corby services.

Depends on whether:
  1. Angel Trains has any modern EMUs coming off-lease this decade anyway, and;
  2. (more importantly) whether EMR has need for more units.
If EMR need more EMUs, I would imagine them adding a few more 810s to their existing order.

Why?

But in any case this has already been suggested, probably dozens of times, and it just isn’t necessary.

Perhaps it's time for a title change as, well, They're staying in the UK. Surprisingly, they are joining the ROG Fleet. Who'd have seen that one coming!

Rail Operations Group LinkedIn.

Ok, so it’s just another Rail Operations Group locomotive preparing to depart the depot with a pair of Siemens Desiro class 360 EMUs. Well, not quite, this time it’s personal. The class 360s are now part of ROG’s growing fleet of locomotives, BMUs, EMUs and specialist rolling stock vehicles. We'll certainly be looking after these babies!

What do they intend to use them for, I wonder? Evidently they must have a plan

Well if we now know where they’re going, it’s no longer speculation. So discussion can possibly go forward in the new thread started in the rolling stock forum:

As suggested can we please keep discussion on this topic in the new thread by a member earlier?
