I am planning a trip to London (on LNER) for a few days break in January (something I haven’t done since before the pandemic) and then going to Heathrow to fly out for a short break in the US. I am thus needing to buy a new railcard.

I now appear to be entitled to three Railcards – the Disabled Persons Railcard, the Veterans Railcard and the over 60’s Railcard.

Do I take it the Disabled Persons Railcard is the pick of the choice due to its ability to take a second person if ever needed, albeit I am travelling alone on this trip?

Many thanks.

Disabled Persons Railcard is the best one:

- It's cheaper than the others
- Has no time restrictions
- A second person accompanying you is entitled to discount as well
