Hi all

might be getting a job at Moorgate so just had a look at the fares.
Got a few questions about it though.
1. Nation rail is recommending Woolwich A to London terms STD Anytime changing at london bridge for the northern line, will i be allowed to make this journey on the PRIV.
2. would the same also apply to Reduced Rate Season tickets?

Cheers for the help guys, I know a bit about IC tickets, but this local london stuff is beyond me

1. No. Additionally, you can't use priv for duty travel unless its a priv season ticket.

2. A handful of point to point season tickets with Maltese Crosses still exist. Other than these dwindling anomalous flows, you won't be able to get priv seasons for use on LU.

With respect to singles/day returns, if you're safeguarded, you may purchase priv tickets to the U Zones and get a priv Oyster. If you have the TOCNE priv, you can only get discounts on the tube by using tickets which include Cross London transfer.

Finally, I don't think a Woolwich - London Terminals ticket will get you to Moorgate. You will need either

a.) Zones U1234 - London Terminals. This will get you from Woolwich Arsenal to Moorgate via the DLR + Underground.

b.) Woolwich Arsenal - Zones U1234. This will let you use SE services to London as well as the Underground.

c.) Oyster PAYG which will be cheaper than the above.

Its not very far to walk from Cannon Street, probably the quickest way of doing it and certainly the best option is to avoid the Northern Line in the peaks.

Sadly not, Moorgate is regarded as a northern terminal - as to get to it on NR you have to double back through Farringdon (or historically, at Farringdon)

This is the winning recommendation I think. Northern line is seriously overcapacity.

Moorgate is only valid as a London Terminal for services from the North of London (as is Old Street). City Thameslink is the last Southern "London Terminal". This was also the case when Thameslink ran to Moorgate.

If you get the travelcard you can always the DLR to Bank if there are problems with the SE service or you feel like a change.
