Can anyone explain why the anytime single fare from York to Scarborough (with a railcard) is £10.50, while the off-peak fare is £11.80? I mean, who's going to pay £1.30 more to have their available travel times restricted?
£10.50 is the Anytime DaySingle.
£11.80 is the Off-Peak DayReturn.
£13.75 is the Off-PeakReturn (valid at any time but no break of journey on the outward portion).
£17.25 is the fully flexible Anytime Return.
