Birmingham New Street aka The Hole
I've heard it called 'Limey' with locals.Nobody's mentioned Liverpool Crime Street yet!?!
I usually heard "The Cross" more commonly used to refer to London King's Cross.I've hard more than one person refer to London Charing Cross as "The Cross".

My personal nickname for Charing Cross has for some reason been "Chuxie", which I derived from its CHX station code.I've hard more than one person refer to London Charing Cross as "The Cross".

Not sure it's still used, but Knottingley used to be Dog**** City!
Aren't those nicknames for the towns, rather than the stations?Castleford = Cas Vegas.
Pontefract = Ponte Carlo.
Yes I grew up in London and The Cross is always Kings Cross - and it has this meaning in Sydney tooI usually heard "The Cross" more commonly used to refer to London King's Cross.
I often do the same with Glasgow's two existing mainline termini e.g. Queen Street & Central. Though on this forum, I need to add 'Glasgow' back in, as there are countless stations with 'Central' in their name across the network (5 others in the Strathclyde network alone for example).• Most of the Manchester stations I cut • ‘Manchester’ out, so just call them by their suffix e.g. Victoria. I also do the same with London stations.
Or Blazing Smoke?Basingrad for Basingstoke.
Ooh a bit harsh! I'd say the same about Brat ford for Bradford, but that's the local pronunciationSh*tley - Shipley
We called it Smelly Poke when I was a student.Smelly Oak
