Nobody's mentioned Liverpool Crime Street yet!?!
I've heard it called 'Limey' with locals.

I'll throw another one in, Manchester Oxford Road -Occy road.

One of my own, 'Where are you trackman?' I'm at London Useless station. caller: 'Oh, you mean Euston?'

Dunno if you could class it as a nickname...but most people I know shorten Fazakerley to "fazak".

A lot of my older family members still call Rice Lane "Preston Road"

I usually heard "The Cross" more commonly used to refer to London King's Cross.

Absolutely! I'm so familiar with 'The Cross' for Kings Cross that it almost feels weird hearing it called by its proper name!

Aberystwyth being shortened to 'Aber' is one I'm used to as well, but that's in general terms and not just for the station. Similar for Llandrindod being 'Landed' which was and as far as I know is still popular in the area.

St Davids, St Thomas, Cen'ral - regularly used in Exeter to refer to the stations without saying 'Exeter'

Pinhoe gets said like Pinner sometimes

You can also 'Wurzelise' Exeter, Taunton, Tiverton Parkway!

Ocean City = Plymouth

The Hoe = Plymouth, by extension - refers to a part of the city

Perhaps a bit random, but for me Shenstone will always be Phentond...

... In my youth living in Lichfield, if I went out into Birmingham I would always text my mum to let her know when I reached Shenstone on my way back (and therefore wasn't far from home... and if she was going to pick me up from the station she could set out...) I once drunkenly utterly failed to type the word Shenstone and sent it as Phentond... and added it to the phone's dictionary. Subsequently every time I typed the word Shenstone my phone corrected it to Phentond and, much as I tried, I could not work out how to remove the erroneous entry in the dictionary.

Thus Shenstone will forever be Phentond.

• Most of the Manchester stations I cut • ‘Manchester’ out, so just call them by their suffix e.g. Victoria. I also do the same with London stations.
I often do the same with Glasgow's two existing mainline termini e.g. Queen Street & Central. Though on this forum, I need to add 'Glasgow' back in, as there are countless stations with 'Central' in their name across the network (5 others in the Strathclyde network alone for example).

Smelly Oak
We called it Smelly Poke when I was a student.

Doing a train to "The Blocks" would have you arriving at The Cross.

A number of forum members appear to call B.N.S. (note the full stops) Barnes for some reason.

Not of my origin, but many years ago, at the long closed Manchester Exchange one announcer used to announce trains calling at what sounded like:
'Culls (Eccles), 'Croft (Patricroft) and 'Ewillows (Newton Le Willows)
