Well I've been busy with quite a few of my own using diagrams from Wikipedia, including my own "baby" which is a Class 313 in London Overground livery if the 313s weren't going to be replaced by the 378s.

Not to mention how the 377/5s really ought to have looked with proper 1st Class branding at one end and 5 carriages instead of 4 carriages.

Check out the rest of the album:

Here are a few of the images from my gallery at alternativerailways.fotopic.net All thumbnails are links to the full size image.

BR black City of Truro, as painted for Steam Railway magazine in 1985.

First class 395 Javelin, for the electrified GWML maybe?

Fastline class 37

Dutch Plan V or Mat '64 in Network Southeast livery, as a counterpart to the NS liveried class 321.

RES class 67

Southern Networker, which could have happened if Govia had merged its two franchises, or if the planned use of Networkers by Southern under Thameslink Key Output Zero had taken place.

If the discussed Cosmen purchase of National Express and sale of its rail franchises to Stagecoach takes place, we may see an East Anglia Trains class 90.

And also an East Thames Trains class 357.

Finally, a Scotrail class 27, still operating the Edinburgh-Glasgow service in 2009.

Paul

I'm a big fan of this one http://weirdy49.fotopic.net/p39204554.html. Simple and nicely amusing.

Here's the latest fruit of my labours http://www.trainpics.net/p60943776.html. Any requests for liveries are welcome, so long as they aren't too silly, and links to source photos could be helpful too where possible.

Well how about the following liveries for the Class 395 using the supplied diagram?

Grand Central
Virgin Trains
GNER
First
DB
InterCity Swallow

Or how about the following liveries for the Class 350 using the supplied diagram?

Virgin Trains
First
NSE
InterCity
Jaffa Cake
First Great Eastern*

* in both versions of the livery ie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:360111_at_Ipswich.jpg and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:321334_'Amsterdam'_at_Colchester.JPG

I do like this one, :)

Would like to see how good they are using the supplied diagrams and not photos.

Now that's the kind of picture which is clear to see when clicked on and not fuzzy when trying to make it larger, good job!

I would give you a thumbs up icon but there isn't one available, any chance Santa could install one, RailUK Team?

Thanks. If they'd like a full hi-res version of the image let me know and I'd be happy to email it.

This is a photoshopping I did of one of our Motor Rails Druid, built 1941. It was rebuilt into its current form in 1999 and was initally painted black but for many years has been blue with a white go faster stripe. Now we want to paint it in LNWR style black, as per the pic because the blue is getting shabby.

Have to admit the WSMR livery looks good on the 170, would look good on anything though!

I'm interested to see what the 378s look like in Southern livery as possible units on the Southern Metro services around London or how the FCC livery would look if they replaced the 313s.
Still what else have you got planned?

Perhaps he meant the current Neon livery, which would actually look quite nice. I always thought that livery they carried looks too busy, theres a lot of things going on all at once, too many colours and too many gradients in random places. Not a favourite of mine.

Noooo the current dynamic lines livery. I hated the old first livery *shudders*, although I did quite like the gold star one they did on some trains, looked quite smart. I think the only train the current Northern livery suits is the 323s...the 150/156s looks awful in it! 158s not too bad tho...

I'll give that a go :)

I do prefer the local lines livery, depends which works out best.

Another new one...

What the class 395 might have looked like as the flagship of Networks Southeast.
