If he does get sacked/leaves who would you realistically like to replace him -ie someone who is likely to come ?

Pep Guardiola is free......

Realistically, its time to think out of the box. However, word was that Bob Bradley was approached last year and the current feeling is that Lerner will try again.

Crawley losing to Hereford is great. Much as I'd like to see Crawley higher I'd be far more devastated to see Hereford drop out of the football league entirely.

I don't think Pep would come ;)
Bradley was at one stage a big favourite with the bookies but the info I have (from someone inside the club) was that he was never seriously considered although he was sounded out.
I agree. It is time to think outside the box as unfortunately I don't see us as the big draw we could have been a couple of years ago when the cowardly pussy walked out.

Macclesfield went down today. Anyone remember a few years ago when they didn't win until winter, and Paul Ince came in, and saved them by quite a margin? Then he went to Blackburn Rovers: the less said of that the better!

I'm sure quite a few on here, including me, would love to see Crawley slip into oblivion and never return.

In all fairness, I think there is no better time for Curbishley to return to the game. Nothing outstanding there, but he did encourage good football and I believe he would at least stabilise things.

Going out of the box, how strange is it that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's odds have gone recently from being absolutely enormous, to 10's and 12's for next Villa manager. That is certainly out of the box, but sometimes its worth taking a chance.

Curbishley is an ex Villa player too of course. I don't think he would do a bad job at all. But on the other hand I'm not sure he would be the inspirational appointment we probably need to turn things around.
I must admit I haven't looked at any odds as I think they reflect more about what is being speculated in the media rather than actual information. I am not sure it would be the time to try out a young inexperienced manager given the utter disarray we are in and the work required to sort the mess out

I would be quite happy with Sven

Best England Manager of recent times , did ok at City shame about Leicester.

Lerner needs to front up £100 Million and he spends it (apart from Suarez) more sensibly than Dalglish. It's a shame Houllier became ill I think he would have been better than Eck:p

People tend to taint him after managing England, and subsequently Man City (where he didn't actually do a bad job) and Leicester (which wasn't great).

In reality, he is a very good manager and has proven it, with big clubs as well.

Houllier in time would have been good I have no doubt about that.
I think the days of spending big money at Villa are gone.

Just look at a list of things he has won. And in lots of differing countries. Another case of trial by media I'm afraid

Perhaps that Indian guy who owns Land Rover and Jaguar could step in - Mittal is it - as long as he does not behave like those indian clowns running Blackburn:p

No thanks. I think the inbreds from the other side of town have demonstrated why not to have Oriental owners

lakshmi mittal, 6th richest man in the world(reportedly), has a 20% stake in qpr along with flavio briatore(34%) and bernie ecclestone(15%), this lot could give man city a run for their money if the had the inclination to do it.

Even though they entered the league under false pretenses in 1972 (in which the re-election process was rigged to accomodate Hereford) ?

Did these guys not sell to tony fernandes. Some of them must have done as I know fernandes has more than 50% shares. Your proportions are 69% between them, allowing for fernandes this will be a minimum of 119%, although I believe fernandes is closer to 100% than 50% in amount of shares owned

Yep Gordon is free, just look at what he did to middlesbrough, took them to bottom of the championship, which must have taken a lot of skillful work, mainly signing a load of Scottish premier league players (mainly Celtic), evidencing what a poor league the spl really is

Ratan Tata is the chairman of Tata Industries, who now own amongst other things, Jaguar Land Rover and Corus Steel but has no interests in football clubs.
Lakshmi Mittal is also Indian, and also a steel magante, but owns Arcelor Mittal. He does have a stake in QPR but his son-in-law Amit Bhatia represents his interests on the board.

Not looking good for QPR, half an hour played an they are four nil down, of course I can't speak of abysmal perfomances this weekend! Doubt if fourth place will be ours for much longer.

Who'd have thought that Torres would score twice? (And I don't mean Sergio at Crawley)

Still QPR getting a stuffing is certainly doing us a favour
