Villa attempting to emulate Birmingham City I see? Win the league cup and be relegated in the same season! I might go and have a cheeky bet on that later...!

Mrs O, who is one of the more pessimistic minded football supporters, and for whom Arsenal is her "second" team, says she always thinks their natural position in the league is 7th and above Tottingham. And top-rank teams are always vulnerable to "lower" sides that believe in themselves. There has been a turnaround in this respect at Bradford recently.

I am reminded of a match I watched on live on Sky just over six years ago - a certain League Cup match that just happened to be the first game Fergie managed United in after his 20th anniversary at the club <D Said result was front page news in the local rag!

Just about the only thing wrong with that game was the referee. How can you book a player for "timewasting" when he needs new studs?

I see Mansfield town have won 2-1 against Lincoln City, which means they're against Liverpool. As my dad had played for the youth team of Mansfield and I think the reserves in the late 60's, as well as being an area where my family grew up, I will be at this game, my dad certainly wouldn't miss it! Stags will probably loose, but a team down the road against a team that we support as a secondary team, we aint missing it!

Man City announce reduced loses of...wait for it...£97.9 Million:-x
Good old Premier League, believe the 'hype' ignore the debt/reality:oops:

And they're meant to be richest club in country. I dont grasp how this level of debt makes them rich.
I'm under the impression Swansea are the only debt free club in the Premiership (unable to find info for Southampton, and Reading) , so from that perspective Swansea are the richest club in the premiership.
Chelsea as a business owe £734 million pounds to Roman Abramovich, as he has declared the money he has pumped into the business as an Interest free loan with no maximum term or minimum repayments)

from May 2012 debt levels were
Arsenal 97.8m
Aston Villa 110m
Blackburn Rovers 21m
Bolton Wanderers 93m
Chelsea 734m
Everton 45m
Fulham 190m
Liverpool 123m
Manchester City 41m
Manchester United 439m
Newcastle United 150m
Norwich 16.8m
QPR 56.1m
Stoke City 8m
Sunderland 66m
Swansea 0m
Tottenham 78.6m
West Bromwich 2m
Wigan Athletic 73m
Wolves 0m

Perhaps my bet on Villa doing the League Cup/relegation double as per Blues is misplaced. I nearly fell over when I saw the latest score at Anfield! What the hell?

You are not alone, they have seemingly gone on a "Goal Quest" scoring half as many goals in their last two matches as they have all season in the Premier League !!!

SS4 must be in his element :p

Just a minor note Man Utd is actually 359.7 M still a lot but not as much as 439 M )
(from here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20327870

As stated in my post my figures were from May 2012, your article is from November 2012, and states in the headline it is a reduced level of debt. It would not be accurate to display figures released by man utd in November alongside every one elses May results

Now it's time to relax in the warm glow of three points.

Wonder where we'll be in the running order on MOTD. After the Manchester clubs of course

edit: and QPR no doubt

You can celebrate now - I wonder what the odds on that score were - 25-1 at least I would have thought.

Blimey QPR have won as well :p

No rest for the wicked is there :p. Still Sunderland and Newcastle losing does us a favour. Wigan losing helps to boot

Last, Liverpool have been last in their last 3 games no matter how good the game has been

Bloody hell! Leyton Orient, who have won their last 8 games in all competitions, are well and truly beaten at home by Scunthorpe United! :D

Yup, the press have already started on how Liverpool were particularly awful today with only a handwave to our defence and efficiency. This is why I cannot stand the national pundits, they have a clear bias

My respect to david Moyes has increased significantly, Most managers would give the didnt see it rubbish.
Everton manager David Moyes on Marouane Fellaini: "He deserves to get the punishment. I've seen it, it's a terrible thing to do and I expect him to be punished. It's down to the FA. I've told him it's not acceptable and whatever he gets, he and us deserve it."

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
The Scottish Premiership game between Dundee United and Inverness Caledonian Thistle must have been quite interesting with Dundee United going 3-0 up, then Inverness Caledonian Thistle fighting back to lead 4-3,only for Dundee United to equilise in the last minute.

I had to find something to post about, as Hyde had no game today in the Conference Premiership.

There'll be hardly a mention of how good Villa were, and plenty of froth about Liverpool being unlucky having been played off the park. Meanwhile, there'll be in depth analysis of the Wigan game, a fawning interview with McTaggart and an in depth feature on how Harry is going to do the impossible at QPR.

I'm hearing from a friend's facebook that Bristol Rovers have relieved Mark McGhee of his duties. Unable to find any official source though. Friend is a Rovers season ticket holder. Current position is completely unacceptable.

If they keep on like this QPR might even manage to finish in the top 17.

Unbeaten in 4!
Norwich unbeaten in 10 now though! Chris Hughton on being asked by press about doing so well, and he said all he was interested in was how many points was between Norwich and 18th place!
