Is that stage one or stage two assessments? Where abouts are you doing them?

Pete and Paul

which depots lads ? This is good news for me as I am awaiting a course start date and now I know they are interviewing must mean the next start date has been pencilled in.

I chose Oxford on my application (hence the 'wishful thinking' avatar!)

Paul, I'm being interviwed on Wednesday.

Phone call today to confirm my interview next week. Butterflies in stomach already waking up!

Pete...good news. Good luck with this interview.

Just remember to gen up on the company and also the First Group. Hope all goes well mate and let us know. Just do be prepared for the tortuous wait post interview...that's the bit that really got me going.

How long did it take for you to get the job offer/ medical after your managers interview?

I got the provisional offer about ten days to 2 weeks after the managers interview, that was subject to medical results. You lot bear in mind that these interviews are in the week running up to xmas so that fact may delay how long it takes them to get back to you. Then again, what do I know.

Best of luck everyone.

Paul 85. Not sure if that question was for me but in case it was, it is stage 1 assessments and I am doing them at Paddington.

Also been given the assessment day at Paddington on Weds.

Since applying with First i have completed all tests and successfully passed all interviews with another ToC and am awaiting there next trainee drive early 2013 on completion of the medical.

I have advised First via email and got a curt just turn up as advised.

Im confused as to what First are going to ask me to do, I passed all with no borderlines so i'm assuming i'll just have the managers interview. Does anyone know what is in this assessment.

Well done on passing with another TOC, I would say that as you have another offer then go with that as there is no guarantee that you would pass with First. It would be a shame to pass up an offer and then not be successful with FGW. Then again, you could go along and if you get through you might then have a choice of which TOC best suits your individual circumstances.

As far as I am aware you won't be allowed to take the assessments again if you have already completed them within the last 6 months.......

That's what I've been told (by Northern and DBS).

True, but I'm not even getting replies to my email, and haven't the faintest what contact numbers I can use to ring :s. I did my interview at the start of November though, so that's not exactly the run up to christmas :s. I just want an answer now :/.

Starting 4th February '13 - subject to medical & references of course!

Off to celebrate with a drink or several.

Understand the Company induction, during week 1, will take place at either Reading or London (KGX ?).

Congratulations Pete - that's got to be the best Christmas present ever!!:D

Out of interest (and I understand you probably couldn't give a damn right now!), but are you aware of how many they are taking on and if there is going to be another intake after that Feb course?

Yeah Padders sounds right. I confess I kind of stopped paying attention to what was being said after I was told the good news.

Ah - I think it was the medical that will take place at either Reading or KGX.

'Fraid not, as above - I didn't really have the wherewithal to ask any useful questions!

The driver managers at the interview weren't even aware of when the course started - said they were the last to be told!

I have tried numerous times to wrestle some info from HR as to what is happening. Had an interview way back in October. And still know nothing
