It's only when you get the job you really understand that all the tests and hoops you jumped through hits home. When you turn up on your first day and get all your uniform, rule book and sectional appendix and all the other stuff do you feel proud to have secured the position.
Honeymoon/holiday can wait in my opinion and life has to be placed on hold once you take the job but it's worth it.
Everybody knows that you rejecting the position is just a quick call to another candidate who will take up the position-job done.
Just my opinion but if you can't rearrange a honeymoon how would you go on possibly being residential for up to Five months depending where you live of course?
