Thanks ALX400. Any idea what the plan is for Enviro/ALX400 moves when Chorley get their new vehicles?

Solo 47884 seen in Carlisle Bus Station today.

Not one I have seen in these parts before (not that I spend too much time looking these days). Is it a recent arrival?

This Solo came from Norfolk Green which was taken over by Stagecoach in December 2013 and replaced 47753 which has gone from Carlisle to Lillyhall.

The new SCNL info bus 47881 came from the same company.

From what I understand, the Dunfermline/Cowdenbeath E200MMCs were first in the order line for this year.

A pair of complete E200MMCs in Stagecoach corporate livery were spied last week at Plaxton, so it is widely assumed that these are the ones for Dunfermline, simply being delivered rather early.

All Chorley's Scania's will move to Preston, I'm assuming that will displace all the Tridents and Enviro's from Preston to somewhere else yet to be confimed.

17 Tridents and 14 Enviros on the last fleet card. 24 Scanias at Chorley. I would think a few 04 Tridents may remain for schools and wouldn't be suprised if the 56 reg Enviros go to Gilmoss. Just my thoughts!!!

I've only seen a pic of one, which will apparently be used for testing ahead of deliveries commencing later in the year. However, if there are photos of further completed examples, that might change things?

From the Carlisle News and Star this week - http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/news/man-flown-to-hospital-after-bus-crash-in-cumbria-1.1228019.

Stagecoach Carlisle ADL E200 YY14 WFP on A596 at Micklethwaite near Thursby. Damage to front windscreen and lower front panel and no doubt front side pillars. Car and entrance door appear to be ok.

Man flown to hospital after bus crash in Cumbria. Last updated at 09:28, Sunday, 27 September 2015

A man who was in a car involved in a crash with a bus was flown to hospital with a serious injury.

Police confirmed today his condition was described as "stable" following the collision on the A596, west of Carlisle.

It was one of a series of crashes emergency crews were called to yesterday - one of which was another collision involving a bus.

The crash involving the man flown to hospital happened at about 4pm near Micklethwaite, west of Thursby.

Police said he was taken by air ambulance to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.

There were 22 passengers on the bus but none suffered serious injuries although some were treated for minor injuries.

Two other men, believed to have been in the car, were taken to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary with what police said were minor injuries.

The route was closed and police advised people to avoid the area and use alternative routes.

In a separate crash, a car and a bus were in collision near Keswick. This prompted the closure of the A66.

The collision, believed to also involve a Land Rover, happened between the B5322 Station Road and the A591.

At least one person was understood to have been hurt and taken for medical treatment.

Taken from Stagecoach Website:-

Stagecoach to operate service 111 Preston - Leyland

starting Sunday 25th October 2015

Last Updated: 23 October 2015 8:44 PM

Following the news that John Fishwick & Sons bus company is due to cease trading after business on Saturday 24th October 2015, Stagecoach can announce that they will be providing service 111 with effect from Sunday 25th October.

The route will be the same between Preston Bus Station and Moss Side (old Black Bull), then will operate a loop of Dunkirk Lane, Schleswig Way, Longmeanygate, Leyland Lane, Dunkirk Lane, then normal route back to Preston. As a result, we will not be serving Golden Hill Lane between the Leyland Lane traffic lights and Tuer Street.

There will be a new timetable, offering a 12 minute frequency Mon-Sat daytimes and every 30 mins in the evenings and all day on Sundays.
Please click here to download the timetable.

We will accept all valid Fishwick's tickets and passes for travel in the short term and will advise more on tickets in due course. The full range of Stagecoach tickets will be valid for travel. Service 111 will be within the Preston ticket zone, which covers all of Leyland area.
We will not be in a position to operate any other former Fishwick's routes on Sunday or Monday, but will be in discussions with Lancashire County Council over the possibility of covering other sections of route.

A post I've seen on Facebook says 34742 and 19070 are moving up to Preston. If they are it will be 19070s second visit to Preston.

In other news, first sighting of an ex Chorley E400 working a Preston route yesterday. An unidentified member of the batch working route 1 to Longridge.

News from today (26th)

First full weekday of the 111 route produced a mixture of Darts, E300s and one ALX400. Darts 34579, 34680, 34742, 34744, 34745: E300s 27774, 27114: ALX400 18354.

Road works in Lostock Hall severely impacted on the timetable with large gaps between buses (over 45 minutes at one point) with some drivers unsure of the full route especially round the Moss Side area of Leyland. Long waits for passengers and full buses as a result.

Also seen today were 27773 on the 109, 19070 on the 68 and ex Chorley E400 15579 on the 2 (still fully branded for the 125). Freshly pained 15578 heading for Frenchwood depot.

27773/74 are both from Gillmoss.

I was talking to a driver on a Chester-Liverpool service today who confirmed the gold service was going to start on the route on 30 October. He added that he had been asked to work out of Preston (presumably to cover for the former Fishwick's routes.

I have a feeling the transition to gold has been brought forward to provide a pool of vehicles to cover the former Fishwck routes.

E300 27887 has also been brought up to Preston.

The cross over of the double deck fleet at Chorley and Preston is complete. Chorley deckers working Preston routes with Preston deckers spotted working the 125, Trident 18359 noted yesterday heading for Bolton. There's also been an increase in Darts on the 125.

I need to have a good look at the 111 but so far in passing since the weekend newly transferred in 27770/3/4/886/887 and 36185 (latter returning to its home!). Of course with 9 needed for the route could be others, certainly more Enviros this week than last when it was mainly Transbus Darts

Certainly fluid at the moment. All the recent appearances still have 'Stagecoach in Merseyside' on them, 27887 was my ride home today on a Hesketh Bank number 2. 36184 also observed today which makes 7 transferred in Enviros at the moment I've seen out of the 9 the 111 technically needs. No idea if the 34xxx Darts that were here last week are still about or have returned

Well i hope Stagecoach Merseyside can find more Buses and Drivers at short notice as they have won the 192, 990, 991, 992 and 993 Contracts on Emergency basis starting on Monday!

For some reason the Eclipses that where going to Preston are still sat around in Gillmoss Depot, has plans changed here or something?
