Apropos thread title, this is still about the 321s too, as I was going to ask if anyone has any photos of 321414 on LO?

2 x 319 on LM 0714 Bletchley to Euston - White liveried 319429 was leading with Southern (ish) liveried 319216 trailing

319429 leading 319216. 429 has LM seating in the front coach (first and standard), but the second coach (and I assume the rest of the unit) is still FCC.

Hoorah! :) Just when I probably won't be going to London for a few weeks...

319/2 as well...luxury!

yes the back train seems to have tables and sensible seating. The front train was 3+2. There is a picture on my twitter if anyone knows how to make it appear here!

Thanks for the 321413 photo! Odd it's still got LM lettering.

I'll try for the 17:05 EUS-MKC tonight if people think it'll be the 319s?

Anyone know if they are diagrammed for the 0714 tomorrow? (Friday diagrams for that train always used to be different from the rest of the week - a year or two ago it was always 321 on Fridays but 350 on other days). Might go for a ride if so.

Yup the fixed 319 diagram is 0714 BLY - EUS and 1705 EUS - MKC.

Didn't know they had 2+1 First Class. Very nice. Might well actually be worth paying for.

Only the 319/2s have that and there are only 6 of them in existence. The /0s and /3s are all std class and the /4s have 2+2 1st class seating. They all do 100mph on the flat though.

Looks surprisingly nice. The London Midland logo seems to meld right into the livery though! I might head down to Bletch tomorrow to take a ride on one...

Looking at those interior pictures, it looks largely unchanged from their FCC days - bar the new notices and seat covers. Although I can't say I'm a fan of the cream leather headrests clashing against the LM Green - it's the opposite of FGW /gWr's Grey seats and Green but that's just me!

But, the quality FCC refurbishment has to be an improvement over the previous ex NSE state of LMs 321s - which is better!

Except the photo of mine he's referring to showing 2+1 seating is from 319429!

Alas only the rear carriage has been so treated. The first three are still in full FCC interior colours.

If LM are only getting four 319s, and Northern are getting 20 or so, where are all the rest of them going?

A matter to be decided in due course by franchise bids for Northern .....though there are some ideas knocking around - for the first time there might soon be a pile of "available" mid life EMU sets.

It's good to see what are perfectly good EMUs (319s) being redeployed on major routes in the South East. You'd think that with all the comments being made about the NW electrification getting 'London cast-offs' that they are only fit for scrapping!

319/4s have 2+1 seating in First Class too. All the 319s used to have dividing doors to the First Class accommodation but they are being removed as the units go for PRM-TSI mods. 319/2s have more FC accommodation than the 319/4s, half a driving vehicle rather than just between the cab and the first set of doors on 319/4s.

That's excellent. I wonder which subclass they'll come from. Probably all three judging by the ones we've got so far!
