Any news on the fair well tour? I've subscribed to the transport museum's newsletter emails, not seen any mention yet of a fair well tour

On the last day in service, D stock will be train 4.

The last passenger working of this diagram would appear to be the 16.35 Upminster-Ealing Broadway, arriving 18.12, then forming 18.26 ECS to Ealing Common depot.

Stock allocation won't be known until the small hours. However, with no engineering works taking place (and based off today) I'd anticipate at least one set to be out if required.

Getting to the final swansong now; from Monday it is likely that D stock will only appear on the peak time extras, if any at all are required.

Yes but with S stock still unreliable anything could happen. Unlikely to run D stock on a Sunday as fewer trains needed.

S stock reliability is generally quite good. The wider issue is the stock knowledge of crews - many newer ones are not trained on D78s, so their usage can compound on reliability and flexibility for changeovers or reforms. Expect a sharp decline over the next few weeks.

One unit out today, T50 - 7012+7095.

How long without driving a D stock can a LU driver go before their traction knowledge for the D stock is deemed to be lapsed/expired?

Over the last few months i have tried my best to get another ride on one, but i've always been in a bit of a rush so i've not been able to wait more than 2 or 3 trains to try and find one. Then last week i came up from the Victoria line at Victoria and without thinking waited for the next west bound service and in pulls a D stock train. I don't 'do' numbers so i have no idea which it was. I'm delighted to say that over the course of last week they just kept turning up for services i wanted so i got in lots of travel over a short period of time after not even seeing one for probably 12 months.

A pure guess would be either High Street Kensington or Ealing Broadway, as the timetable notice hasn't been issued yet.

T55 is due through Victoria westbound towards Wimbledon at 0945 approx, gets back at about 1050 eastbound to Tower Hill, then back through towards Wimbledon at 1140 approx.

T33 due through westbound to E Broadway at 1115, then back eastbound towards Upminster at about 1228.

The working timetable for the District Line is here: http://content.tfl.gov.uk/wtt-148-district.pdf

D Stock farewell tour
Date: Sunday 7 May 2017

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 18 April 2017 at 10.00

The District line D Stock train was introduced in 1980 and as its final days in service approach, the last of the varied fleet of different trains on the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines will finally be replaced by a single fleet of new high capacity, comfortable, walk through and air conditioned S Stock trains on all four lines.

The last D Stock train is scheduled for all day public service on Friday 21 April. Catch it if you can!

The Journey
The special six-car D Stock train will operate as Train 755. It will travel to all parts of the District line – except the High Street Kensington to Edgware Road section. It will also visit Northfields on the Piccadilly line.

Customers will depart from High Street Kensington at 09:55, with an opportunity to alight at Northfields at 12:56 for an hour’s break, where there will be a pop up shop in the ticket office. The trip will finish at Ealing Broadway at 17:50.

Tickets
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 18 April 2017 at 10.00

Ticket prices are £50 per person and £25 for children aged 11-16 (children 11-14 must be accompanied by an adult, who will require a ticket to travel). Children under 11 are not permitted to travel on this trip.

A maximum of two tickets can be purchased per person.
