Is 150265 now the last 150/2 to return? Has 150249 already come back (I can’t remember and this is a very large thread!)

150249 hss returned as well as 150261, 150265 is till at Wolverton however 150219 / 150238 still need to receive the green treatment but should be a quicker job as they have had some of the mods already like the new passenger information screens inside.

Thanks both. I wonder if they will hold off making any of the refreshed Turbos or blue 150/2s green in favour of the 158s being done first as there is still a fair few to get through before 2020 - And the Turbos aren’t due to take over duties until late 2018/early 2019 on Pompey runs are they? How much longer do GWR have the franchise for under the current agreement?

Travelled on 150261 from Exmouth today, and the Wifi doesn't work!

2E88 16:44 Penzance to Exeter St Davids

2M72 21:49 Exeter St Davids to Bristol Temple Meads"

I ended up on 165116 earlier this afternoon and was impressed with the air cooling which has been fitted, along with the plug/usb sockets (at least in the former first class end).

Although couldn't help noticing the safety information posters still had FGW on

I notice that 5M65 to Wolverton ran this morning so is another 165 about to be turned green? Usually 5M65 and 5V65 either both run or both don't run but today 5M65 did run but 5V65 didn't (unless perhaps it did in another path arranged at short notice?).

I would be surprised if this is the case as drivers and guards at west depots have to be type trained.

165130 went to Wolverton with nothing returning.
165127 returned from Long Marston with nothing heading back there (166217 is still there)

I would imagine this will be crewed by an Exeter west driver as they sign 158s and the route. Certainly 2e88 is currently part of an Exeter west joB , can't confirm for the rest of the diagram but we have heard at Plymouth we will learn 158s this summer so certainly sounds plausible

Heard that a 158 will be in the far west for training in May.

I was obviously very lucky yesterday - I was riding 150238 from Portsmouth when I saw 150219 at Salisbury on the other platform. What are the chances, especially since I barely ever even see anything other than a 158 down there to begin with?

You often see 150s down there when frequently deputising on the Cardiff to Pompeys but there were more before the Southamptons mostly have now gone over to 166 Turbos.
