I walked between some stations on the same lines, especially at the start of day 2, on the Milngavie and Maryhill lines. I did a couple of connections between lines on foot (Carmyle - Shettleston, Greenock West - Drumfrochar [Not a connection that I would recommend - it's half a mile of steep hill), Cessnock - Dumbreck), but I also put the bus to good use as well (Craigendoran - Cardross, Crookston - Pollockshaws, Neilston - Barrhead, Inverkip - Largs, West Kilbride - Fairlie, Saltcoats - Kilwinning, Maybole - Ayr and Cardonald - Govan)
As for the absence of IBM (plus Branchton and Wemyss Bay) - there was a signalling failure at Port Glasgow while I was on the branch, I decided to prioritise other things and come back later if I had time, which as it turned out, I was running short on in the end
Assuming you require them, as I can't see them in any of your lists, a bit of advice for the Helensburgh stations. I took a train to Helensburgh Upper and walked down to Helensburgh Central for one back. I'd like to say it was good planning but it was pure luck, I wouldn't recommend doing it the other way as it's a fairly substantial hill! I suppose the station names should give it away really...
