That's not like VP185's. I know they get very claggy.Exhaust fire in the rear power car..
Oh dear. Do they have a spare ?
Plenty! 22 powercars for 9 sets, plus there's 2 MTUs spare at Etches Park
I wonder what the plan is to move the set. Either use the rear power car to push it to Neville Hill or go to Cricklewood.
It was this service.I think the service was 1B53 the 1445 Nottingham-London St Pancras.
Gone back north most likely to Derby. 43045 was on the north end and 43054 on the south end. No evidence of a fire when the set passed East Midlands Parkway about a hour ago. 43045 was isolated with 54 pushing the set.I wonder what the plan is to move the set. Crumbs, that's gonna be a slow job. Better than the train stuck in Leicester obviously but how's the driver going to know what's in front etc?It was this service.

Basically yeah. Just a heavy DVT. This sort of thing can happen in everyday service if the powercar fails in service.Oh right - looks like it will be a DVT then !
I thought I saw it several days before then at Nottingham (maybe Wed/Thu 19th/20th)? Only a quick glimpse though, maybe I was wrong.43045 noted back in traffic yesterday, 1434 ex Leeds to London partnering 43055.
