Where would I be able to access this? The numbers are hard to come by.
The usual answer when people have asked about specific lines or origin/destination pairs is that it isn’t made available for commercial reasons.Breckland Line etc? There is no other interpretation.
It’s difficult to predict passengers by station as some of the Terminus stations have multiple lines.
Why do they bother releasing passenger stats for stations then?
No - I just said that the Terminus has multiple lines.
Don’t be rude
CRPs don’t really “campaign,” you may be thinking of line user groups or similar. The usual purpose of counts that they may conduct is to show to stakeholders such as the train operating companies, DfT and local authorities who provide their funding that they are working and delivering results from the public and private money that is put in to them.Yeah they tend to do their own sample passenger counts over a day or two to provide evidence for their policies/campaigns.
The Tocs who are members of CRPs usually provide Lennon data and do not usually object to this being published, at a very high level usually (eg. just annual passenger numbers not broken down any further). For instance see page 10 (page 6 of the PDF) of Severnside CRP’s report from this year: https://www.severnside-rail.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/Progress-Report-2019.pdfAs said actual line statistics are commercially sensitive as its used for determining pricing.
