Why was it going from Crewe to Cardiff...? The list on page 9 just said "150251 Arriva Refurbished Turquoise" and no mention of PRM. So has it in fact come back from PRM works, rather than going in for PRM works...?

That's what I've understood from @PHILIPE 's post.

If it's had PRM mods but not been reliveried, that may indicate the deferral of some (non-crucial) elements of their refurbishment, to make sure they're all done by the end of the year.

All the 150s have had their PRM mods done in Crewe, and then return home to Cardiff Canton afterwards.

Presumably Chrysalis reopening the Landore depot gives TfW the option of getting the livery work done locally at a later date, without another trek up to Crewe.

It may depend if somebody or other already has a contract to do it. Would be convenient.

Thank you for taking the time to maintain the list on Page 9 which provides an easy reference. Much appreciated
Thanks! I need to start going back to Cardiff Central so I can remove the TBC on a lot of those PRM modified 150s; at least the livery info is correct to my knowledge :)

Thanks for that info :) I guess I had simply not known that "251" had gone into works in the first place for some reason!

That's an encouraging sight, but it still needs to run under it's own power outside of the depot. That'll probably be the crew training unit.

We don't usually find out about them until they come out as the news about them going in never gets posted

Photographic proof of the following units' PRM mods is available on Flickr:
150236
158830
158837
Thanks for that :) got links to 236 and 837...? (the TBC on 830 is for logos/branding not PRM)

note the door sounders above the buttons
and the LED destination display (although not displaying anything) and the lack of toilet window :) can't quite see the toilet retention tank from that angle; not easily anyway :p

175011 back in Chester from Widnes after full refurb. I believe 001 has now gone in to be done next.

Oh interesting, that means it's had corrosion repair like "285" and "284"! Does anyone know how long it had been out of service...? Thanks for this :)

Wouldn’t it make more sense for it to be repainted into TfW livery? Or is there some reason why it’s repainted into Arriva Blue without stripes?

I think they're skipping the TfW livery for the time being as they're pressed for time to get all the PRM mods done by the end of the year. Painting over the bits they've been patching up is quicker.

Guess that makes sense, just thought if it was a full repaint surely it’d make more sense to do TfW rather than ATW, just to repaint again in a few months

I was just looking back through this thread and saw about 150251, I was on it on the 12th August and it definitely wasnt PRM modded then so unless they have massively sped up the turnarounds I'd be suprised I'd 251 didnt just have some maintenance rather than prm work.
The pic is of it passing Heald Green on 12/08 with blinds etc still there.

Re-liverying takes time and time is essence due to the PRM deadline.
