Thank you!!!The 6 months is counted from the fail.
But yes, as above, DMIs only count for that TOC so you are fine to apply for Arriva.
It’s only the psychometric tests that you have to wait 6 months to do again, regardless of TOC.

If you want to check if you managed to submit before they took they took the vacancy down you could also go on the Arriva careers site to check. Just log in, and there should be an option on there to check which vacancies you’ve applied for. Once you’ve clicked on that you should see the trainee train driver application on there which should say ‘submitted’ and the date it was submitted
It’s always worth applying.I have assessments day with another TOC next week, is it still worth applying for this one?
It’s always worth applying.
With a username like yours I’d have thought you would have applied already.
If you passed paper sift with abelio , didn't you have assessment'sHaha I only discovered the vacancy today, and haven’t had chance to submit the application but I’ll submit once i get home, was just wondering if I should wait till next week but not much point waiting as Arriva usually take long to get back anyway, last year I didn’t make past paper sift with any but Abellio but this year been invited to assessment with SWR so hopefully I’ll get past paper sift with Arriva this time around aha
Lol ah right fair enough!Haha I only discovered the vacancy today, and haven’t had chance to submit the application but I’ll submit once i get home, was just wondering if I should wait till next week but not much point waiting as Arriva usually take long to get back anyway, last year I didn’t make past paper sift with any but Abellio but this year been invited to assessment with SWR so hopefully I’ll get past paper sift with Arriva this time around aha
I passed all the psychometric tests , but didn't get through my first dmi. when I went for the assessment day at my current toc , arl , I didn't have to do any . I was told by the opc on that day , to pull another application I had and that you shouldn't have more than one on the go at a time.Lol ah right fair enough!
You could wait until next week, but then the vacancy could be taken down tomorrow. All the best for SWR mate but if it wasn’t to work out and you threw your hat in at Arriva, you never know what can happen.
Ah right maybe this is something to think about then, I was sure I read someone else say this on the forum ages ago but couldn’t recall where then didn’t hear of it happening again so thought it may have been a one off or they stopped doing that.I passed all the psychometric tests , but didn't get through my first dmi. when I went for the assessment day at my current toc , arl , I didn't have to do any . Great Northern . Although at dmi , should I have been successful , they were going to put me at Cricklewood for Thameslink.May I know which TOC did you pass the psychometric tests with?

To be honest , I didn't find any of them hard. I was more worried about the mmi and the traffic scene , out of everything. I did all the additional tests too , so the magnificent 7 sjt and the visual search exercise,as well as the dfft. I did a mock written report too.Oh I see, glad you got on the career at last! Which part of assessment did you find the hardest? I think for me it will be ATAVT & TRP

I did mean the traffic one . My day's had all the pen and paper test's on day one. The computer test's and the mock report and mmi on day two . And the magnificent 7 sjt and visual search exercise separate . Dfft was day one. I have always been good at test's. When I did the entrance exam for the armed forces , my test was the second highest seen by the recruitment officer at the time . At my toc , they had the OPC come and spend a day with us during our training to teach us how to learn again. During this day , we were told that our scores were in the top two percent.Oh wow you must be really good at this, by traffic scene do you mean the one where a picture comes up for a second then disappear and you have to pick what you saw?
I’m assuming you had to do all that in different stages? With SWR stage 1 & 2 assessment are on the same day rather than separate days but there was no mention of MMI, DMI & SJT which someone on here said will be on separate days

ARL use enhanced scoring, if you did enhanced, then you wouldn’t have to do the tests again.I recently passed the assessments for another TOC, but failed on the DMI does anyone know of that would count towards the overground or would I have to sit it all again?
But dmi wouldn't count anyway.ARL use enhanced scoring, if you did enhanced, then you wouldn’t have to do the tests again.
You may however have to do additional tests like the Driver Fault Finding Test if you didn’t do it at the other TOC. Just apply and the OPC will tell you what you need to do should you get through.
I read “sit it all again” as him meaning the assessments, but @Joel Walker if you did mean the DMI then no that is TOC specific. But dmi wouldn't count anyway.
I can't answer ,as I don't know what it's like on the underground. I love working for arl though.Would anyone recommend this role over driver on London Underground?
