Existing power cars stay.Interesting, will this come with an additional Mk3 rake, or are the power cars replacing some of the existing XC 43s?

On Monday the Dundee - Plymouth was declared a failure at Edinburgh with the ecs believe to have run to LA that same day . Yesterday the same service was a 4 car voyager. Maybe XC have realised they have no slack in the system or maybe the failed set is economically not viable to repair given all the spare power cars now available. Both options could be feasible replacing a HST set with a 4 car voyager is not good for the image , especially with the running of the railways in the spotlight at the minute with both Northern and TPE getting a battering .Interesting, will this come with an additional Mk3 rake, or are the power cars replacing some of the existing XC 43s?
Your theory is totally wrong. On Monday the Dundee - Plymouth was declared a failure at Edinburgh with the ecs believe to have run to LA that same day . Yesterday the same service was a 4 car voyager. As I’ve said maybe....Your theory is totally wrong.

And I've said definitely not.As I’ve said maybe....

I hope there are Mk3s to go with them if this is the case. Do LNER locos have ATP installed? I remember XC saying that was the reason they couldn't take on FGW locos.Interesting, will this come with an additional Mk3 rake, or are the power cars replacing some of the existing XC 43s?
To be used in service, or to be used as a source of spare parts?According to WNXX there for use by Cross country .
Thanks for the info.According to a post of Facebook the LNER sets will be phased in from the end of the month.
WNXXTo be used in service, or to be used as a source of spare parts?
WNXX states “they are joining the cross country fleet “To be used in service, or to be used as a source of spare parts?
It did I watched them change drivers at Derby , both power cars were working .That train is only booked to be an HST on certain days. It was booked to be a Voyager yesterday, irrespective of any failure.
It did go ECS to Laira under its own power:

Which doesn’t really answer the question. Definitely a “wait and see”.WNXX states “they are joining the cross country fleet “
RTT - definitely not the be all and end all - has 3 schedules in for this week for this service:That train is only booked to be an HST on certain days. It was booked to be a Voyager yesterday, irrespective of any failure.

Well considering EMR (and XC) are the only company left in england with full HSTs in service and their HSTs will soon be replaced by HSTs which have already been exempted from the PRM. You wonder why EMRs 43/0s will never get PIS displaysSeriously I now gather the LNER sets need to have PIS displays installed in the coaches (dynamic visual information display). Interestingly the derogation / dispensation letters for the former LNER HSTs do not include an exemption for lack of PIS (while those for other fleets such as the 153s and the existing HSTs do).
RTT - definitely not the be all and end all - has 3 schedules in for this week for this service:
A MO
A TWTHO
A FO
All diagrammed for a 125 high speed train , not sure whether that’s just for this week though

The sets transferring from LNER to EMR have PIS displays.Well considering EMR are the only company left in england with full HSTs in service and their HSTs will soon be replaced by HSTs which have already been exempted from the PRM. You wonder why EMR HSTs will never get PIS displays
Apart from XC which will probably have them longer than EMRWell considering EMR are the only company left in england with full HSTs in service and their HSTs will soon be replaced by HSTs which have already been exempted from the PRM. You wonder why EMR HSTs will never get PIS displays
Almost forgotApart from XC which will probably have them longer than EMR
Are they any good? retrofitted fitted PIS displays havent gone down to well with customers so far.The sets transferring from LNER to EMR have PIS displays.
Almost forgot
Iam surprised as I thought the HST wont get them but only the 91s would??
Apart from XC which will probably have them longer than EMR
Both of those operate short sets whereas EMR and XC have full sets. XC have also refurbished theirs.Or Great Western Railway/ScotRail with their extensive refurbishments.
No they don't as it was only for the GWML HST's.I hope there are Mk3s to go with them if this is the case. Do LNER locos have ATP installed? I remember XC saying that was the reason they couldn't take on FGW locos.
Edit: I've convinced myself that they do not as I remember them being hired in to XC last summer.
Many thanks for thatTake a look at post 4 in this thread for current XC HST diagrams:
