Heathrow Junction had class 332 only. It closed when the Heathrow tunnel got opened.

Kilmaurs, Auchinleck, New Cumnock, Sanquhar, Gretna Green - all 156 since re-opening

Beauly - I think its 2002 re-opening is after the Far North went to 158 operation, so 158 only

Caldercruix, Blackridge, Armadale and the new Drumgelloch would all be 334 only since re-opening

Has Robroyston only been served by 385s?

Does Breich count because it was rebuilt or because it was the same site does that no count as a 'new' station in that sense?

That one doesn't count I'm afraid. I've got off a 313 there and boarded a 350 a few minutes later.
Two more I forgot. I think it’s probably surprising to realise that Imperial Wharf was open before the 313s were fully retired from LO. I wonder if a 5 car 710 has been there yet, I know they intend to run them on at least the NLL, so I assume they interwork with WLL as well.

Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station - 1996 stock
Heathrow Terminals 4 and 5
All stations on the Jubilee Line extension
All stations on the T&W Metro
Watford Stadium
Hogsmeade

Bat & Ball has been there since the days of steam - it's actually older the the main station in Sevenoaks.

Not quite. GC have terminated at St. Peter's a couple of times when the brown stuff has hit the fan on the ECML and their last service arrives after Sunderland station has closed.
I didn't know that. I know that Northern used to call at St Peters with football trains on derby days.

Of course many Metro stations used to be heavy rail stations pre-Metro

I think a 4-6-2 Pacific was also used as the Hogwart's Express once, so I'm not sure in this case...
I don't recall anything other than a "Hall", albeit named as a "Castle", being used in the films, but of course they didn't really go to Hogsmeade - filming was variously done at Goathland, Dunrobin Castle, and a backlot at Leavesden studios.

The real Hogsmeade station cannot be seen by we muggles, and no mention is made in the books of any train other than the Hogwarts Express calling there.

That the Hogwarts Express is a magical artefact and not a conventional steam train is apparent from various quotes in the books. Analysed in considerable detail here
The Hogwarts Express, or In Search of . . . Platform Nine and Three-Quarters – Harry Potter Lexicon (hp-lexicon.org)
A corridor tender seems necessary as both Hermione and the trolley witch say they has been up front to talk to the driver.

But there's also this
"the floor began to vibrate as the engine roared into life before it started to move out of the station.". This suggests that, whatever it has been made to look like, it's really a dmu.

According to wiki:
"To promote the books, the Southern Railway locomotive 34027 Taw Valley was repainted and renamed temporarily, but was rejected by director Chris Columbus as looking 'too modern' for the film."

I don’t think the Maryhill line stations have seen anything other than 156s?
158s and 170s serve and have served the line. Indeed I'm sure there was (may still be) an Express (ie with First Class) 170/4 diagram which starts out running to/from Anniesland then forms a GLQ-INV working.

Precisely. Which is what makes it an interesting Trivia question.
And an eye-opener - this thread must be a contender for the fastest amount of replies by posters who've not read the question properly :)

I'm sorry, but you've all failed your test :)

Cranbrook opened a couple of years back and always 159s leading. But just sometimes it's two 159s and a 158 on the back. So it depends on your definition

Trivia thread idea: Stations only ever served by one train type.

A few on LU:

* Heathrow Terminal 4, Heathrow Terminal 5 - only ever served by 73 stock
* Southwark, Bermondsey, Canary Wharf, North Greenwich, Canning Town - only ever served by 96 stock
* Nine Elms, Battersea Power Station - only ever served by 95 stock

Aside from engineers trains, the museum's 38 stock train will have been through some of these.

The second station in South Shields was only ever served by the current Tyne & Wear Metrocars. Now demolished, so the upcoming Stadler fleet won’t ever serve it.

Kilmaurs, Auchinleck, New Cumnock, Sanquhar, Gretna Green - all 156 since re-opening

Does Breich count because it was rebuilt or because it was the same site does that no count as a 'new' station in that sense?
Gretna Green has been served by 142s on occasion. 142s sometimes made it to Dumfries on the early morning workings with Northern crews, despite them not actually being route cleared.

The re-sited Bathgate station has also only had 334s serve it.

Breich has had 158s stop since the rebuild so wouldn’t count either way.

The 38 stock train had a trip along the JLE to Stratford shortly before ATO was fitted to the line, but won’t have stopped at any of the underground stations on it as the doors on the 38 stock don’t match the platform edge doors.

The 38 stock hasn’t been to Battersea, not sure about Heathrow.

The premise of the thread is stations only ever served by one train type throughout their entire history; not just a single train type today.
Not quite what the thread title/opening thread suggests.

Fair enough, I'd never seen 142s up that way and just presumed it was solid 156 territory.

I suggested that earlier, but had a reply that someone had disembarked an 802 there (presumably on diversion)

Must have been an emergency exit? To my knowledge 800, 801,802 class have run on diversion through Cranbrook but never been scheduled to stop. Unless I am mistaken. First stop Honiton from Exeter Central. The platform would be too short as well

Only 159 (sometimes with trailing 158) in regular service.

The new build East London Line section running though Shoreditch High Street, not running on the old viaduct, will only have seen 378s?

Plenty of “heritage” units at Kilmaurs HERE.
