Is there a late alteration to 1S25 tonight or is there a farce unfolding?? RTT shows 1S25 and 1S26 are booked to reverse at Wembley and run ECML. However, 1S25 is currently (20.50) at Harrow & Wealdstone on the Down Fast.

On the Highlander tonight. Was rescheduled to earlier time presumably because it was timetabled up the ECML, and have to do a runaround at Wembley. However, we are very much heading up the WCML, now passing Watford. Quite odd, don’t you think?

There's a shuffle, but it works as follows:

Evening:
The 92 that takes in the Highlander ECS (5S95) then runs round to work the Lowlander (1S26)

The "ECS 92" that brings in the Lowlander ECS (5S96) usually runs back to Wembley after 1S26 has departed as 0A96 (although sometimes stables in Euston Middle Sidings).

Morning:
The "ECS 92" runs in from Wembley as 0M16 and works the Highlander stock to the depot as 3M16.

The now-released Highlander engine then runs round to work the Lowlander stock to the depot as 3M11, with the Lowlander loco attached to the rear.

Except on Saturday mornings when it's done in the reverse order (i.e. ECS 92 works 3M11 first and then Lowlander loco works 3M16).
And the same loco tends to stick on the ECS diagram all week.

From OTT, 1S25 was put into the Up Fast Platform at Watford Jn. and the train then headed back towards London. Now, 21,26, it is Wembley yard.

1S26, 21.19 Euston to Glasgow, had barely left Euston when it was signalled off the Down Fast to access Wembley yard.

Can confirm 1S25 is just pulling out of Wembley Yard now about half an hour late. Not meant to be able to take a wrong turn on the train

Realtime trains is still showing it pretty clearly on the ECML throughout tonight leaving finsbury park at 22:22 (almost 2 hours to be 3 miles from where you started!)

Waiting at Kings Cross for a rare departure of the Caledonian sleeper straight up the East Coast line and not via Wembley depot. Omniously a text just arrived saying boarding is delayed by almost an hour. Fingers crossed!

Same here! Expected 21:35 as things stand…

Hope to be connecting with the Jacobite in the morning too, and I understand that’s not a guaranteed connection…

At least they have given passengers access to the LNER lounge. I think the man on reception was expecting a normal quiet Sunday evening. His greeting? "Don't tell me - another one for the sleeper!"

Lots of pathing time even when it's on the WCML so (barring any other problems) you'll be on time by Edinburgh, probably even early.

Only about 15 mins late departing in the end so back on track now. Envious of those further down the train with an upgrade. The double bunk cabins always seem smaller than remembered - like a reverse TARDIS effect.

The Inverness and FortWilliam, only 1 minute late, passing Huntingdon, so with various pathing and engineering allowances, should be on time now, barring any major problems, further up North.

On board now. What a farce. First compartment door keycard wouldn’t work. Second can’t close the door at all. Accessible toilet door malfunctioning… on the plus side the food in the club car is excellent.

The down Glasgow goes via Hamilton tomorrow morning:

Yes, I'm on board and was confused when Carstairs wasn't shown as a calling point. EDB - GLC section being routed via Shotts and the Hamilton Circle. That's a first for me on the beds!

On another note, does anyone know why the headcodes are different to normal?

They apparently use headcodes that mimic the old East Coast sleepers on nights when they ran from Kings Cross before electrification. For the southbounds, it probably is a useful, although minor, step in preventing the signaller from sending them round the Camden incline.

See https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/nightriders-1m11.56921/#post-903702 (which admittedly pre-dates the current Caledonian Sleeper workings going to Kings Cross, but shows the old headcodes) and https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/caledonian-sleeper-discussion.118802/page-148#post-3099271

Wouldn’t be too envious, I’ve got a wheelflat and the toilet flushing next door for company!

Because there's still some people involved in the planning of these diversions who are proper cranks / enthusiasts (call them what you want) who like to ensure the 'correct' headcodes are used for ECML Sleepers to/from Kings Cross.

Was done last time the Beds operated out of Kings Cross too in Spring 2019.

15340 returns to service tonight on 1C11/1M11, having not worked since its collision with 73969 at Fort William on 06/11/2019.

This assumes 1C11 gets underway (currently delayed leaving Edinburgh...!)

1C11 consist: 92033 + 15006 15102 15206 15323 15340 15301 15302 15325

EDIT: 1C11 subsequently caped at Waverley.

What happened with the Highlander on the 19th, it shows as cancelled between Edinburgh and London due to a problem with the doors.

So will it make it to London tonight ?. Or anytime soon ?.

It should’ve been in London now, but back at Polmadie (with the northbound Glasgow portion caped tonight as a result).

So unlikely to head out tonight, but possibly on the southbound Lowlander tomorrow night.

Very helpful, thanks very much for taking the time to add so much useful information.
I’m assuming that’s sarcastic - and also ironic given all the other information I’ve provided for folk above.

It was as it said on the tin - service cancelled due to a problem with doors - that was the long and short of it.

Anything beyond that is detailed / specific technical info not in the public domain.

And if that’s the sort of response I get for clarifying / confirming things I won’t bother wasting my time in future.

Posts which clarify or confirm things are certainly welcome here, it's why I asked in the first place but the problem is you neither confirmed or clarified anything, you just repeated my own post back to me. If you don't know or can't say then you don't have to post and I certainly don't see the benefit of posting back what I'd just said.
