I wonder how much of it is that Ronaldo’s game has been based around strength and fitness, whereas Messi has more been about “talent”? Messi can still do most of his things at relative walking pace, whereas Ronaldo can’t. (Not saying Ronaldo isn’t talented, but he’s worked hard to improve himself)
Yes i think that is a lot of it, a lot of Ronaldo's game has depended on being in the right place at the right time and you need pace, strength and fitness for that. Messi is able to read a game better (maybe than anyone) and can get there with a lot less effort! Their skill once they are in that time / place is comparable.

I think what he meant was the current unshaven look of Messi makes him look far older than he is.
Yes to be fair when i shave i look about 10 years younger.

I must say I prefer Premier League Matches to the World Cup/Euros, but that's because my loyalty to Spurs is stronger than my loyalty to England :p
(C.O.Y.S.)

There's nothing wrong with this. After all your country you support is by default, your club you have some choice over but its there for life.

The only thing that gets my goat is when people pass judgement on England players with clear club loyalties getting in the way. A large group of grizzled old Chelsea fans spent the entire game moaning at Kane even when he did some good stuff. Naturally the Spurs fans in the room were at a loss when Mount came on.

You can change your football club you support if the old one becomes rubbish but its harder to change your national allegiance.

Deserters!

I stuck with Wealdstone throughout our darkest days. Ground sharing, playing in the 3rd Ryman Division in front of one man and his dog and getting beaten by the likes of Flackwell Heath, Aveley and Windsor. Now been rewarded with NL football and crowds of over 2000 for some home games plus trips to places like Notts County, Wrexham and Oldham Athletic.

I had to lend my allegiance to Orient and then Halifax when Bradford were dormant from 1974 to 1988 (apart from the Sunday League side). Sadly we lost a whole generation of potential supporters to our friends in Manningham in those 14 years and our crowds have never recovered. Interestingly, if there had been automatic promotion and relegation to and from D4 in the 1960's, Bradford City would have gone out of the league before Park Avenue.

Actually no i am only joking about changing team allegiance, though to be honest if someone does it doesn't bother me. Enduring mid- to lower table mediocrity for decades on end is not for everyone.

How do you think that some of the Oldham Athletic older supporters feel who once saw their team as one of the founder members of the Premier League playing against top quality opposition (and getting good results against the odds) who are now near the bottom of the National League.

Funnily enough he doesn't actually go to that many games. Only the big boozy days out really.

Well...they did come up with a phrase "teams like Wealdstone and Maidenhead" when the trap door was beckoning last season. Even worse when they beat the BELTS.

I work with Manchester city fans, many of whom with very strong views on Henderson, Shaw, Maguire, Rashford and Alexander-Arnold.

Also happen to be the most vocal about wanting Southgate to go

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
Sinisa Mihajlovic, who was well known for scoring one of the decisive penalties in the European Cup final in 1991 (Red Star Belgrade v Marseille) has sadly passed away at the age of 53.

Red Star Belgrade became the second (and to date the last) side from Eastern Europe (after Steaua Bucharest in 1986) to have won the European Cup, which was done the proper way by winning the top flight division the previous season.

Also of note, this was during the time that English FA clubs were barred from participating due to the Heysel Disaster in 1985 (Liverpool v Juventus).

This is quite the game. Enjoyable from a neutral point of view.

Well. What a game

Glad Argentina won though

And one of my mate’s had £3 on Messi and Mbappe to both score at least 7 goals, and both got to 7 in extra time. A nice £600 Xmas bonus
