They gave up on the one I was on, just printed out card reservations instead. A bit of a throwback! It is, indeed, coach F, same as with the Voyagers. Recent experience of the HST sets is that the reservations system has been a little iffy, with coach G not showing any at all and the occasional apology for a lack of reservations being announced.
1S51 is going to have a set swap at Newcastle and the set will return to Neville Hill to balance for tomorrow.Any idea why 43303 +XC03 + 43239 stayed at Craigentinny this morning?
Presumably that will leave 2 HSTs there tonight and none at Neville Hill to run 1V44 tomorrow.
An issue with coaching stock.Any idea why 43303 +XC03 + 43239 stayed at Craigentinny this morning?
Correct, it will run 5Z43 to Neville Hill1S51 is going to have a set swap at Newcastle and the set will return to Neville Hill to balance for tomorrow.
Not sure why the set didn't come off this morning.
Fingers crossed that everything is fine tomorrow, as I'm planning to get 1V50 from Derby to Birmingham (if it's a HST)An issue with coaching stock.

I will be monitoring tomorrow closely as I am considering a South West run on Wednesday. Don't want to fork out a lot of money to then end up on Voyagers thoughFingers crossed that everything is fine tomorrow, as I'm planning to get 1V50 from Derby to Birmingham (if it's a HST)
If you mean Monday then a normal Monday service is in operation (not a Sunday service) and the above train is booked a Voyager,Any ideas what the Bank Holiday Monday diagrams are? The 0812 from Leeds to Plymouth shows a 4 car when I try and reserve a seat for it.

All weekdays are the sameWhat are the current Friday diagrams?
That one is booked as a HST via LichfieldSorry the 0612 from Leeds. I was looking at the Birmingham time
Have the journey planners not been updated as there is nothing showing as being diverted via Lichfield? That one is booked as a HST via LiLichfield
Ahh yes, I think I got my information mixed since the weekend before is the blockade. The 0612 is a HST, 0812 is a Voyager.Have the journey planners not been updated as there is nothing showing as being diverted via Lichfield?
All three reliveried PCs are at Laira Depot and haven’t ran (yet). I’m keeping tabs on it and will update this when movement are planned.I see that XC have revinyled some of their power cars - is there any chance of seeing these out in the wild?
XC have re vinyled 3 x Power cars at Laira
Can't see it posted elsewhere, and apologies if this is in another thread, but XC have re vinyled 3 x Power cars at Laira , one is 184 in executive, then there is one in Swallow and one in Br blue and yellow. Unsure on power car IDs but it is reported on a Plymouth FB page im a member of (not...www.railforums.co.uk
1S51 is running 40 minutes late approaching Tamworth. As it was late at Birmingham I thought about catching it for a bonus ride (after I got on 1V50 earlier) but it was rammed so I decided to go for the 170 on 1M98, about 10 minutes behind it to go straight to Nottingham.Without wanting to tempt fate, I presume that as everything seems to be running as per diagram so far today that there is nothing to suggest that they won't be out on the usual 1V44 & 1V50 diagrams in the morning?
Might brave it and buy some tickets tonight![]()
Yeah I had noticed S51 was running late. It seemed to accrue delay minutes at Temple Meads and I presume this was connected to the line block between Cheltenham and Birmingham earlier as opposed to the set mis-behaving. Unsurprising it was rammed as it'll be collecting double the amount of pax at each station call now it is behind schedule as people can't just wait another 5 minutes for the next train into Birmingham to spread the load a bit1S51 is running 40 minutes late approaching Tamworth. The two previous trains were cancelled / terminated short, which is why I avoided it and caught the Northern semi-fast from Sheffield... which was also busy (standing to Barnsley). There's no Penistone Line service to speak of, passengers advised to take that service to Leeds and change for Huddersfield, suspect some will have departed at Barnsley to catch a bus.Yeah I had noticed S51 was running late. So this implies that there may be a set swap at Plymouth. Out of interest, are these swaps usually made as a matter of routine after the set's been out for a while, or because there is a fault of some sort that needs rectifying? I am enjoying riding 43378 + XC05 + 43366 southbound at the moment and I notice the toilet in coach F is out of action and some of the carriages have no power - would this be a reason for the set swap, or would it happen anyway?16-Aug 2023
Usual two sets in traffic today;
Set 1 - 43303 + XC03 + 43239
5V44 - XNL to LDS

1S51 - PLY to GLC
5S51 - GLC to XCN
Set 2 - 43366 + XC05 + 43378
5V50 - XCN to EDB
1V50 - EDB to PLY
5V50 - PLY to XLZ
Unconfirmed
1E63 - PLY to LDS
5G63 - LDS to XNL
Set swaps at Plymouth are common and the reasons are not usually fault related. So this implies that there may be a set swap at Plymouth. I just had that rush of fresh air from the gaps between the coaches coming through Sheffield tunnel... I'm going to miss that!
That isn't a path for testing powercars, it is route learning/refresh for the diversions via Westbury next month.A path has appeared for an illusively named 5Z43
Good chance this is two re-liveried XC powercars on test.
So both power cars in ex-BR liveries.Todays
