Hi mate, how did your interview go? Have you heard back from them yet?Alright mate, yep interview date is next week.
I only had to wait two days before I received a phone call, asking if I could start on 13th November. I acceptedAnyone give an indication of when and what will be the next contact from recruitment after a successful medical please?
I saw an example roster when I visited a few weeks ago. It’s likely to change when the 60 hour rule comes in, but the one I saw was something like 4 on 3 off, 4 on 3 off, 3 on 1 off, 3 on 7 off. It’s an average of 35 hours per week, easier way to put it is working 14 out of 28 days.I’ve got an odd question, but I’ve heard a lot of people on a 12 hours roster saying how they get a week off every 4 weeks
How does that work?,is it just included in the 4 week roster as joined up days off, i.e a 4 days off week merging with the 3 days off the following week?
I had my medical yesterday afternoon and had the congratulations with confirmed start date and employee number today.Anyone give an indication of when and what will be the next contact from recruitment after a successful medical please?
Yay, Congratulations! Where are you going to be based?I had my medical yesterday afternoon and had the congratulations with confirmed start date and employee number today.

CheersThat is certainly how it worked on our line, and I think in most Welsh boxes doing 12 hour shifts.
Mine is 8 off in a row. Finish on a night shift on Tuesday night and then off till the following week Thursday on days. Brilliant rosterI’ve got an odd question, but I’ve heard a lot of people on a 12 hours roster saying how they get a week off every 4 weeks

Hi mate, You heard from anyone yet regarding the 2 weeks training/e-learning prior to starting IST?Ahhh right I see! Thanks for clearing that up! Is the first 2 weeks online learning done at a Nr training centre or is it done from home?
I have this, my rota is as follows.I’ve got an odd question, but I’ve heard a lot of people on a 12 hours roster saying how they get a week off every 4 weeks

Day Day Day Off Off Night Night
Night Night Off Off Off Off Off
So every four weeks I get eight days off in a row. Unless I do ovterime which I do most of the time. I personally love the shift pattern, get a holiday every month!
Hi mate I didnt take the interview as something popped up last minute so cancelled the interview. Have you had yours yet?Hi mate, how did your interview go? Have you heard back from them yet?
It could be either, depends on your LOM.. I did mine from a depot/hq, doesn't take two weeks though.. And the pay date is today and paid 4 weeklyHi all, just a couple of questions. I’ve been given my start date and have 2 weeks of E-Learning. Is this done remotely from home or are we required to go to the base station to complete? Also what is the pay date for network rail? Just trying to figure out my pay schedules for leaving my current job. Thank you in advance.
Will more than likely need to be done at your location, but your LOM will be able to confirm everything. Make sure it’s done though, the first week of IST is a bit alien without it!Hi all, just a couple of questions. I’ve been given my start date and have 2 weeks of E-Learning. Did you get to rearrange or did you have to withdraw your application? No way. Will you get another date?
Have you contacted HR again to see what the status is?Anyone passed their assessments and still waiting for a potential interview invite? Been nearly a month since passing my assessments. Starting to think I’ll probably hear nothing back.

I had mines last week, just waiting to hear the outcome now, which based on others experiences in this thread, could be a while. So just hanging tight at the moment.

Cut off date is 4th November on Saturday, so you should get 1 weeks training pay.Due to start on the 30th of October and if I’m not mistaken, there is a pay day on the 10th of November. Can anyone shed any light on the cut offs for pay periods and whether I would be likely to receive anything on the 10th or whether I would have to wait until the next one before being paid?
Just so I can try roughly work out finances ect.
Thanks![]()
