Arriva are using Scania Omnicity 4661 on the 685 at present. It is based at Stockton depot in Teesside but was at Jesmond for some work and they have used it as they are short of buses at the moment. I doubt you will ever see a Scania Omnicity on the 685 again!
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Omnicity took off in Newcastle and replaced by the usual 1202!

16337 replaced a very late running 47022 on short 685

47754 on Moorclose 50.
20473 short 302.
16870, 20436, 20910 and 20945 on 30 & 31. 16649 was on, but replaced by 20910, probably so 16649 was available for afternoon schools.
22600 running around as staff shuttles.
22595 on 300-302.
20994 on ASDA Free Bus.
Leaves the only B10M I didn't see as 20962.

Was told today that the new X12 route will be launched in June/July. Also there is a possibility of some Optares coming in but not sure about this and have no idea what type. It could be something else of course.

Also 6 E300s have apparently been delivered to ME and they will be officially launched on 10th June.

Also noted 47249 doing a short 3 with an inspector at the wheel.

Yeah I just realised that lol my mistake! I thought 6 odd haha.

Solos wonder where they are coming from!

Also over the last couple of days I've been lead to believe that Morecambe are taking all 10 B10Ls from Merseyside once they are refurbed. Can anyone give us a nod as to whether this is true or not...Gez lol

52628 on X4.

Darren, I obviously miss heard what I was told OK? Now I've just recognised it's 35247 up at Carlisle I think.

I had a ride on 47754 before, I much prefer the PO51reg solos compared to that!

Yeah I didn't know whether he meant ME or North West as whole. So far I though they were going to Cumbria but obviously not...

I too have been told to expect a number of minor service alterations, to try to combat the overloading issues on the university's services.

Which includes the withdrawal of the X1 Railway Station - University.
Withdrawal of service 4 between City Centre - University.
Minor adjustments to 2/2A peak journies.
Re-timing of service 3.

New Service 1 Which replaces the X1 & service 4, between Railway Station - University.

Wonder if this will be run by E300'S with the 4 PVR going down

Very interesting! Never liked 1 as a route number lol. Would be nice to have the short 3 re-numbered as X3 but that's just me being picky lol.

20923 as well, I'm starting to like 20436 now, It's better than 20945 now though. I hope 20473 doesen't get fixed, I love the clicking noise when it goes past!

Hopefully 34218 was being fixed of its unique engine 'groan'.... I take it 17017 was also unaccounted for today too!
I wonder when 47753 will decide to make an appearance...

34218 hasn't been sounding too healthy for quite a while now!
17017 seems to like disappearing from service. Pile of crap that is very unsuitable for the work Lillyhall need it for.
47753 apparently likes to drink lots and lots of water. A Workington allocation would probably be better for it, so the hose pipe is always nearby!!! Unless they're fitting new parts to it to stop it drinking so much...

As a driver said today, they must collect together all of the crap, and think "oh, we'll send it to West Cumbria"

Good grief! I don't know what is a matter with you West Cumbrian folk... You might get all the crap but at least the allocations are interesting and you have plenty deckers making apperances all the time!

Live in Carlisle, 39 Citi Darts to choose from with a B10M thrown in about once a week!

20965 on 61 today
20924 on Annan and 71
33162 on 76 and 33076 on 61
