Seems to be pathed along the slow line from Bedford southbound. But Northbound seems to have a stop at Bedford curiously switching to the slow line platforms rather than the down main.Diesel on Midland mainline, electric testing on ECML
5Q45 passes Flitwick Junction at 1551 (crossing Down Fast to Down Slow), With 1F52 St P - Sheffield passing Flitwick Jn at 1557(.5), and 1D53 passing Flitwick Jn at 1600(.5).Seems to be pathed along the slow line from Bedford southbound. Better to find the issue than not.Let’s hope that is the case then - hearing that engines are being replaced so soon doesn’t, at face value, fill one with much confidence.
Is that the final livery? It’s a bit plain.5Q43 0806 Old Dalby to Sheffield captured at Dore & Totley

Nah. Apart from set numbers there's no other branding on it at present, it's just the base coat. Should be similar to the 170s and 360s when done.Is that the final livery? It’s a bit plain.
No, the unit is painted purple during the assembly process at Newton Aycliffe. Is that the final livery? It’s a bit plain.
Track circuit issue Trent Junction. Fault with the Signalling System between Nottingham and Derby. Lines are blocked.Northbound passed Kettering 3 minutes early and now nothing on RTT. There seems to be problem at Leicester with 16:37 Sheffield still standing at platform 1 and the Lincoln service still on 4. May be points failure.
Did not get the shot at Kilby Bridge Jn. sent back via Manton due to problem at Leicester most likely.Hopefully get a shot of it passing Wigston and Kilby Bridge Jn. on the way back.

Looks like it, no report on RTT between Kettering North Junction (at 16:24) and Melton Mowbray (at 17:16)Have they sent it via Manton?
Many many many months away from entering passenger service.I'm pleased to see that they're now running on the NML. Hopefully an introduction to service will not be to much longer.

Presumably an additional hefty tranche of lateness penalty money is on its way to Rock Rail East Mids then!About a year

The front gives an impression of being more angular than curved. Here's a photo of 810004 sitting at Derby on platform 5 at 11:25 this morning, forming 5Q44 1050 Sheffield to St Pancras International:

It's "expression" reminds me of a miserable fish, which I quite like.
I did take a short video of it leaving Derby but it seems to have disappeared into the bit bucket. (:
Yep, another post stated that Hitachi have paid £15.29m in late penalty fees thus far. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’ll have to make another payment!Over £15 million, I think
The headlights and the coupler only exaggerate that expression, along with the colours.
