As previously said i too cannot see this entering service any time soon if at all.

26 Enviro 400's will be taken off routes 39/40 later this year with about half of them most probably being transfered to Slatyford after the 22 takes it share at walkergate. Slatyford will likely opt to use the vehicles on there next busiest service such as X87/X88 and then shared out between services 30/31/36/10/11 as T reg MAN's inhabit them routes . Back to the point it could easily use one of the transfered buses to step in for the lost 19151.

Well, just found out that early news out of the depot is that 19151 will be repaired! - and yes, agree with your comment on the NW feed Liam..... ADL must be fed up with NE E400's

Probally won't see it for a while mind if they do successfully repair it...

Some of the T-reg darts are on the shocking side, still better than our 08 MAN's at my local depot (Lillyhall) in the NW

30/31 tends to use a varied variety of buses already. MAN ALX300's to MAN E200's to the odd Metro Dennis Enviro 300 on some occasions

Anyone tell me what has happened to the stock that came up from London to work the replacement bus service for the Metro? I assume it has gone back south, although there is another 4 week shutdown later in the year, so they'll have to come back up again.

They are still hanging around. It has been said that the GNE MD is quite keen on taking them on permanently, presumably to replace the remaining high floor deckers. Would need plenty of work, though.

19157 has been transferred from Walkergate to Slatyford to cover for 19151 but will end up staying as Slatyford are due to receive about 10 E400's from Walkergate later this year.

19153 & 19156 were on the X87/X88 today.

Newcastle E400 19152 made a rare appearance on the 30/1/6 today whilst Slatyford newcomer 19157 was on service X87/X88 , running close to capacity when it left Eldon Square at around 15:20 showing exactly why this route will most certainly be fully Double Deck after the Hybrids are here !

Im hearing that the E400H?s for Newcastle are expected to start arriving at the end of this month due to Alexander Dennis being ahead of schedule ! Watch this space.

The hybrids were booked to start arriving at the start of July (first few delivered on 1st). ADL were running 2 weeks ahead but they're now closer to just 1 week, so last week in June is perfectly possible

Someone on this thread will probably know - any idea why there was a Stagecoach double decker (like the ones used on the 39/40 route in Newcastle) on the A19 yesterday going south past Northallerton? This one had Manchester stickers on it but curiously had people on board as well.

Didn't realise they were using double deckers for Megabus.

They aren't/don't, but if a Megabus coach fails and there's nothing to replace it, a decker will go out instead.

Incidentally, all of North East Megabus work has mow moved to Perth.

ADL E400's or Tridents with digital tacho equipment are often used to dupe megabus work. Both North East and Manchester have lost their Megabus work to other regions.

The first E400H has arrived / is on its way to Walkergate tonight. It has definitely been signed off from Alexander Dennis and has been seen on delivery.
