A big company wide change coming up very soon, doesn't directly involve buses though

 Gez you beat me to it  Going to be an interesting few months ahead and will keep this forum a hype of activity :lol: keep em in suspense for as long as we can....;)

Yes all going DD at Chorley, also a LF Dart in as a spare for the other 2, Gradually all the Oly's will be swapped for Tridents.

All 3 Merseyside Mini Pointers are now at Carlisle. 34219/34220/34221 however none of these have entered services.

47019 has been repainted and is in the shed. There is a Mega Bus 56 Volvo there too. There is a Volvo Olympian in the sanding booth and it is missing nearly all of it's panels and its a basic shell at the rear and offside. It's not a Carlisle one though...

The inner recesses of my tortured mind.
14196 was a sight for sore eyes in Preston Bus Station this morning, arriving on a 40 at around 0725. Good to see her looking so well. I can remember her being a belting bus to drive when she was at Chorley.

ALX400 and Gez - you have me intrigued! I know that NW is the last company still using Wayfarers, and that we are due to swap over to TGX soon. That can't be it though, as you both made it sound so exciting! ALX - I'm on standby tomorrow so I'll corner you in the canteen and torture it out of you :D

Not happy that we're losing all our Volvos either, and even less happy that they are being replaced with knackered old London Tridents! I bloody hate Tridents! The thought of driving a Trident on the X60/1 is not appealing!

Wonder if 14196 was outstationed at garstang over night and doing a lancaster grammer school run?

LL's allocation of the day goes to 35248 on X5's. Dual carriageway to Keswick on a Dart, no thanks! At least its a wheelchair accessible vehicle on a wheelchair accessible advertised route.

20436 on 31's again, with 16447 taking charge of 31's decker slot.

Forgot to mention yesterday that 20965 has had it's new engine fitted and is back out.

20924 is missing from the depot, I presume it's away to get fixed.

Yes she was, I brought her back Weds night on the 940 boys grammar contract and it dropped on to that this morning. 940 bus does Catterall - Preston at 0704, where as the 941 runs dead between Catterall and Preston.
No such luck tonight, a Trident and and 16661 again.

Soooooo London Tridents are replacing both B10s and Olys? If so narrows down the locations for KLs tridents.

Not necessarily Stagecoach, although I'm quite surprised it isn't!

Some may know already, but Reay's are running a Park and Ride service to the Whitehaven Festival this weekend, both Saturday and Sunday from Lillyhall's Lakes College campus.
Buses will be in operation from 10am to 11.30pm on Saturday and 10am to 5.30pm on Sunday. Return fares, including the cost of car parking, are £5 per adult and £2.50 per child, or £12.50 for a family ticket – two adults and two children. The buses will have low-loading floors for disabled access. (News & Star 15/06/11 & Times and Star 17/06/11)

Let me just quote some normal everyday Stagecoach fares...
West Cumbria Dayrider Plus - £4.10
West Cumbria Group Dayrider Plus: 2 Adults with up to 3 Children - £9.20
Even a full 300/302 Family Return is only £12 even with a 3rd child

...And you don't need the hassle of driving to Lillyhall, just walk to a 30/31/300-302 bus stop or the bus station

[N.B Revised fares in West Cumbria occur on Sunday 19th June - can't see a huge impact affecting the outcome.
Stagecoach Sunday services may be an issue for some people attending, I'd still clearly choose Stagecoach for price!]

Sorry to return to Reay's, but their new Vanhool T917 Altano YJ11AOP is back from being vinyled up, I'm sure it will be of interest to the locals, spotted it on Facebook, it is part of a public gallery, so you can still see it even if you don't have Facebook :) ......the Interior is a bit :|

17201 has landed at Gillmoss and is been prepared for service.

(Not my picture).

20923 and 52628 both on X4-X50 today, 20913 on X5-X50, while 53336 on summer extra X5's.

Noticed a list of revised saver ticket fares is up in the buses, but I didn't get to see what they are. They're not on the Stagecoach website.

Is`nt the LED supposed to be in the middle?

I think it has something to do with the roller blinds and how they were positioned before. If you look at the ex London Volvo Olys the blinds on them are lower down as well. It could be that the LED is in the same place as other Tridents but the black panel area is simply bigger. The Ex London S reg's may have had a different set up hence the LEDs on them looking more central. Could well be wrong.

If you look at 17201 next to 17017 in this picture:

You can see the difference.

The S reg tridents were like that when they had rollers, then the LED blind was postioned in the middle as well as having new destination glass.

Have to say 17012 doesn't half look different!!!

20949 is nearly finished getting repainted and should be out early next week. 16706 is undergoing major body repairs before repaint. 47327 & YN04XYY getting ready for a re-paint. 47019 is still sitting in the depot. 20924 has not left but infact moved in front of the Osprey bus. 33162 is out the back out of use pending transfer out. Lillyhall 53337 is also at Carlisle at present. The 3 Merseyside Mini Pointers are all under different stages of prep for service.

52626 visited London yesterday!

47249(YN04 XYY) is finally up for a repaint then and what is different about 17012.
Also spotted E300 27752 on the 3a to battery at 19:05

Hope the seats in 47249 get done! The last 04 that went up for paint still has it's old seat covers.

You can see the difference.

Are those two the same height though? They both seem to have the same amount of paint between the windows above/below them, but the glass panel on 17201 looks bigger
