But two wins for these clubs. Leicester go to Goodison next Saturday in a game that could put them right back in the safety mix or back to square one while at the same time put Everton in a very good position to move to safety earlier than usual.

Man United - whose players probably live in and around Cheshire - FLEW from Manchester to Heathrow for the Fulham game. It probably took them longer even if they had fast security clearance than a coach leaving Old Trafford. And Karma struck, the return leg was cancelled anyway. Their coach would have been "luxury" at least, so why fly, more expensive, more time-consuming and a whole lot less green???

But probably a shorter time sitting in a cramped seat, which will be the 'medical' justification.

On their coaches they can quite easily lay down or stretch out, no way are the seats "cramped" like the 125 to Chorley!!

They will have been on a private flight, with minimal security requirements. Last season they flew from Manchester to Luton for their match at Kenilworth Road.

Manchester United used to frequently use trains for away games in and around London - wonder why they stopped? Perhaps the thought of the Euston gateline militia after a defeat at Brentford was just too much to bear?

A private flight would end up at Heathrow or Northolt if it accepts private planes? If so there's still a trek through traffic to get to the venue - on a coach!. I suppose a train was out as the game finished late evening and no way back; but a coach would zoom up the motorway at that time.
I suppose if the game's at Fulham it's not so far from either airport, whereas Arsenal, Spurs etc would be.

Flight 45 minutes or so, plus 30 to 45 minutes on a coach, or a coach taking over 4 hours, probably. It's why they fly.

For Arsenal or Spurs they could use Stansted or Luton.

I remember a youtube clip of Man utd team at Watford Junction and some random passenger was shocked and was talking to Fellani I think until a official asked him to move and he gave her a right mouthful.

A shame they flew - was it a late kick off?
Because the railway is too unreliable?
there were pictures on t'interweb of United players at Stockport station from a week ago - i doubt Bruno Fernandes was after his last Northern 150.................

Marcus Rashford must have cleared them, which explains why he wasn't there...

Coat on, leaving now!

Tottenham Hotspur 1 ... Leicester City 2

Fulham 0 ... Manchester United 1

Different fates for the two big clubs having a bad season.
Greater Angelos franchise could be ended early

Spurs, having seen more coaches than National Express, are not in a position to sack Ange Postecoglou just yet and owner Daniel Levy has painted himself into a corner by not backing Ange save for one goalkeeper during the transfer window. Saving grace for Ange is the chance of at least one trophy as the Club is still in Carabao, Europa League and FA Cup.

There's plenty of drama with Tottenham, high injury list (which Ange will mention every opportunity)... apart from a Europa League game in the week (Elfsbourg?) It may be a chance for them to avoid being stung by Brentford on Sunday (if somehow they sign any more players... they seem to be just browsing at the minute) Depending on how Everton get on, Spurs may slip to 16th...

United haven’t stopped. They are frequently pictured Stockport going to away games.

pretending to be really cool when they are desperate to get the number of that EMR 158!

We have had a couple of railway workers play for us in recent years. One, it turns out, quite likes trains. ( according to a good source)

Burnley 0-0 Leeds United

I want to tear my eyes out. 'Nuff said.

The most 0-0 of 0-0s. Absolutely awful (although as the partner of a Sunderland season ticket holder it was probably the best result for them, so she's happy)

I'd like Sunderland Leeds and Boro to come up. Some good derbies there to spice up a very boring premier league.

Yesterday; started work at 6am, finish at 3pm, drive straight to Huddersfield to see Blues put themselves in clear daylight in the promotion race with a worldie from Anderson, get home at 1:30am.

Today; back at work for 6am and me very tired.

That is devotion to the cause.
It looked like another professional performance, and a great goal from Keshi.

Darlington 0 v Buxton 1

Poor game, lots of possession but without the main man Main Darlo lack a goal threat. Buxton well organised but average. Won an early penalty and shut up shop.

Halifax 2-1 Sunderland U21s (National League Cup group stage)

Our final match in this utterly pointless competition and it ended with a 92nd minute winner. The Sunlun bairns were technically very good but a bit naive perhaps. The "crowd" was 195, which I'm pretty sure is a new low for a first team fixture. Hopefully the powers that be realise what a dud idea this cup is and consign it to the bin asap

Like to see Birmingham in the prem for the villa derby. So many boring games each week in the prem.

Could still be a long wait, the Championship is a lot harder than league 1.

Our revenue is the biggest in the EFL besides the clubs receiving Premier League Parachute payments, even with us being a League One club.

We will absolutely be spending big in the summer again and we'll 100% be in the playoff conversation.
