Asking if someone has passed psychometrics before confirming success at the video interview stage leaves me a little uneasy. Have they even watched videos of people who passed that stage with another TOC? Did they trouble the whole applicant pool for those who hadn't sat psychometrics before? Rose tinted glasses off and in the bin.

Why? That doesn’t seem an unreasonable thing to ask in the circumstances.

I’ve not heard anything apart from the “it’s taking longer than expected” email. I have enhanced passes to TPE standard so hopefully that will be enough! I do live in Leeds/bradford though so would be relocating.

I did my MMI with RCG and they’re brilliant so no worries for anyone heading to do them. The building is a little hard to find though.

So I asked HR and the start date for the role is still 16th June, that's not getting pushed back. Also training initially will be in Newcastle/Hull with a late start Monday and early finish Friday where possible to allow for travel. Travel and accommodation will be provided. They can't say for sure when trainees will be moved to their depots but it will be as soon as possible to avoid too much time away from home. So I guess be prepared for at least 3 months but possibly more in Newcastle/Hull if successful.

I don't think they asked about psychometric tests during the application, I think the person emailed them to ask if they would need to resit any and they replied.

Got my confirmation too. Was looking forward to a successful email. But wasn’t the case this time around. Genuinely best of luck to you all still awaiting results!

Something about these video interview i find strange... did an application last year and was told you were successful in your video interview even though I never received an invite to do one and told I'm progressing to the next stage. Railway recruitment can really leave you 2nd guessing yourself at times oh well on we go to the next

Was a negative for me sadly. Video interview's always a weakness for me (But passed the NR Signaller one, just missed out on centre appointments) Best of luck to those to the next stage.

Had my psychometric tests today and I passed so now I officially have a full set! Phew. I was done by around 1pm so got to go home early. If anyone was at RCG in Manchester today then it was nice to meet you and I hope it went well for you.

Congratulations. Did they do any tests other than those in the prep pack? Did they do the MMI on the same day?

Referring to “customer driver” What’s confusing? If you can’t read a job description, maybe not the job for you.

Thanks so much!

Had my interview today and got invited back for a second interview next week, which is a culture interview. Not had one of those before, but it sounds straightforward enough. Anyone else heard back yet?

Did they mention during the interview itself that you’d progressed to next week or did you get an email afterwards?

Congratulations to those who have made it to the culture interview.

I haven't heard yet, had my interview yesterday. Does anyone know if there are more interviews today?

Had my interview yesterday too - 1500 for Stirling - said they still have more to do and said may not hear till end of next week, I think unfortunately it’s just more waiting time sadly. Only bright side compared to other TOCs recruitment, we know the start date is set in stone so they can’t drag it out for long as is usually the case with railway recruitment.

I think so, they told me initially I might not hear until next week but it could be that the depot I'm going for has less candidates and they were able to make a quicker decision. I wouldn't worry!
