MMI would be part of the psychometric testing. And I don't think you can even do MMI via Teams (but who knows...)DMI and MMI I assume?
Maybe its just an additional sift? If they get a large number of passes, this may be a useful disclaimer/tool to whittle the numbers legitimately by asking some 'soft' questions like "If you were an animal, what would you be?" or something...interesting that they state 2 interview dates. Never known there be 2 internal interviews for a train driver role. Also no mention of a medical. .
Not sure, it wouldn't make sense for it to be the whole 12 months as you need to do route learning as part of the training right? On the ad it says you have to be available in person for 12 months training either in Newcastle or Hull. On the application I'm sure it said 12 weeks initial training when picking the closest depot, I may have misread this can anyone confirm this?
It was 12 weeks lodging away from home in classroom setting, maybe basic traction.. after that you move to home depot to do (I assume), routes and handling hoursIt does say that you need to be available for in person training in Newcastle/Hull during the entirety of the 12 months but as far as I'm aware rules learning takes 4-6 months ish (I could be wrong as I haven't done it yet). So I imagine the rest of the time could be spent at the home depot learning route and traction. A question to ask at the interview I'd say.

Might it be that at least some of the legally required handling hours for new drivers are done at Lumo Newcastle or Hull Trains as to do them all on the WCML would require Lumo to actually be running trains in service by then? If they're planning on using some trainees on their WCML service they're going to need to do their handling somewhere before they can be of any use.It was 12 weeks lodging away from home in classroom setting, maybe basic traction.. after that you move to home depot to do (I assume), routes and handling hours
Not necessarily. Before Lumo launched in October 2021 they borrowed units from Hull Trains and TPE and recruited qualified drivers with route knowledge as well as apprentices. I see no reason why they couldn't do that again.Might it be that at least some of the legally required handling hours for new drivers are done at Lumo Newcastle or Hull Trains as to do them all on the WCML would require Lumo to actually be running trains in service by then? But did they run a full service from day 1 using only qualified drivers? Did all of their apprentice drivers gain their handling hours exclusively driving Lumo services? Not necessarily. No, they launched initially with 2 return services a day and it was 6 months until they were running their full 5 return services as more units got delivered and more apprentice drivers qualified. The apprentices gained their hours both before launch on ECS trains (borrowed from Hull Trains and TPE but operated under Lumo's operating license) and post launch on Lumo's passenger services. But did they run a full service from day 1 using only qualified drivers? Fair enough. So it's still possible that they can be able to run a full service quicker if they send their apprentices elsewhere to build up some of their hours? At least if they're advertising a long period of time spent in Hull or Newcastle for training they're keeping that option open. No, they launched initially with 2 return services a day and it was 6 months until they were running their full 5 return services as more units got delivered and more apprentice drivers qualified. Hey, did you guys get any other email after completing your video interview?
I got an email yesterday saying
“Great News, we are currently reviewing your application to join us as an Apprentice Customer 'Train' Driver.
Once we have reviewed all of the applications, we will draw up a shortlist and contact the candidates who we are taking through to the next stage of the recruitment process”.
Did everyone else get this, does it mean you passed the interview?

Did mine all last tuesday, after getting a email to say the role was up. Just got to wait and see what happens now. Video interviews as always can't stand them, Think did ok on it. The other two bits loved doing, especially the error checking ones.
FYI They've posted for Qualified Drivers today.
One of the questions were "Do you have any route knowledge between Stirling and London Euston".
No, I haven’t heard anything back yet. I completed my video interview on last Tuesday and applied for Euston. The job advert mentioned that the assessment date is the 7th of April, and I believe they have to send the practice material at least 7 days prior (though I’m not certain). So if anyone has passed, they should hear something soon.Has anyone heard anything back yet for Lumo apprentice customer train driver and what depo did you apply for iv applied for Euston
Euston/Preston/Sterling

I really don’t know, I have enhanced passes on all the tests at TPE standard and I’ve asked if they’d accept mine and they said they’d look after I pass the next stage. (I asked before I’d done the video interview).Dose anyone know if Lumo are national standard or enhanced standard
