March 2024 applicant. Still waiting on my first assessment day. Anyone else in the same boat? Since I applied I have got my partner pregnant, she’s gave birth, I’ve changed jobs, can drive and got a mortgage so my address has changed so to say my CV will be slightly out of date is an understatement

Congratulations on your significant life events! If any of your contact details have changed just make sure you notify them. The content of your CV won't matter at this point.

I have a pal, December 2022 applicant, who just had their firsts assessment in April. Railway recruitment can take ages.

Im based in glasgow. DMI at central, which I assume is the depot. Going to message back for some clarification. If that means, were on the list for the next recruitment year. Or if its the case of waiting for someone to pull out this year.
Hey mate. I am in the exact same boat as you. Medical passed but waiting on a start date for Glasgow.

Are you able to get back to me with what recruitment say, regarding the reserve list and what it means, to save me emailing them with the exact same question??

Many thanks
Kris

Regarding the MMI. I’m aware that there are generally 6 questions put to you which can be worded in a variety of ways. I’m assuming they will also throw in a few curveballs. Does anyone have any info on what sort of questions they might ask? Open to DMs if preferable!

Anybody starting next Thursday (Atrium start date 2nd June). Anyone heard anything regarding contracts? I've still heard nothing.
I’ve still not got my contract and start next Thursday. I assume they will send it out in next few days as it’s meant to be 2 online induction dates. I left my work last week so currently in limbo until next Thursday!

Yep, same boat as you. I've been told that we should have our joining instructions sent to us either today or Monday. The contract may be attached to it but failing that I will email the person who sends the joining instructions out to ask what's going on.

Those salary figures are 2 years out of date.

The full drivers salary has just went up to £63,421 and the Trainee driver salary is now £36,032. Effective 1st April 2025.
Does the wage include the Sunday shift? as I have read so many different.

No, Sundays are on top. The amount varies by depot and how many Sundays they work.
Thanks for the clarification, I take it the trainee wage is what it is, or is there Sundays on top of this if your instructor works these days?

Hoping the contract lands soon, so I don’t have to ask these questions, many thanks.

From what am lead to believe a don’t think trainees work Sundays, I could be wrong tho. Someone better than me might be better equipped to answer that question lol

Trainees don't generally get overtime or work Sundays although the local manager may authorise it to get more hours in if required.

hello everyone.

I have a few books 1 that helps with the first set of tests and another to help prepare for the interviews. If anyone would like these just give me a message and we can sort it out. I don’t need them anymore would rather someone got to use them rather than collecting dust or getting thrown out.

I got the email today to say I passed the MMI! I haven't stopped pacing around the house in disbelief. Hoping it's not too long to wait for an email for the medical and provisional start date :D

Does anyone know if there’s any sort of rough timeline you’d be on the reserve list for/what has to happen for a position to become available or is it totally down to the depot

Wow, that's a really quick turnaround. Congratulations.

I had my medical March and still waiting any formal feedback!

Can I ask where you will be stationed?

Cheers

I had medical end of February and am starting at the end of July. You probably already have been but I kept pestering Matheus with emails for updates. Sure I seen on here your medical is valid for 6 months before starting so maybe worth emailing if not. And keep at them til you get a response!

Very well done. Sorry to be a pest, but could you offer up some advice for Assessment 2? Very greatful for practice links and what kind of questions you got on the MMI and overall feel of the day. Im so nervous.

Thanks mate! Suitably nervous. I'm passing the computer tests at home so just got to keep the head for 1 full day :P
Well done. Can you point me in the direction of practicing the computer tests. Do you have a link or anything? I really appreciate any help.

Congratulations on passing the DMI! 8-) The MMI usually consists of the same six core questions for everyone, based on key skills. When I completed my MMI the questions you'll find on this form were exactly what I got asked, just worded slightly different. You might also get a couple of hypotheticals depending on how your SJE went. Use STAR, stay calm, and show you're safety-focused and clear with comms. They will most definitely probe your answers too, so be ready to expand on your examples! Good Luck! :E
Well done mate. Can you ve a legend and send me over the links please.
I think it's also dependant on your depot. For example, a few lads I know are waiting for Waverley & Perth. The Waverley group have been waiting the longest, whereas the Perth ones have just received start dates. All progressed at a different pace but you will hear back regardless. :D
Would you be able to help me out with the links for assessment 2 practice. I'll be eternally greatful.
