I was passing through Woking today web I noticed that on platform five, there are remains of a platform side conductor rail. This is quite a rare thing for obvious reasons, does anyone know when this rail was switched to the far side?
I find it ridiculous that we still have any Sunday trading restrictions whatsoever. If we're meant to be such an open and diverse country, then surely religion shouldn't influence how much a hard working business owner earns over the weekend.:|
Of course for the larger shops i can see it...
Actually i disagree about the floor of the toilet.. :)
I've seen much worse myself due to my previous job, i just thought it was an amusing story, not intended as a whining post..

The controls are all available as the guard often uses the empty drivers compartment on the 450s, the only modification might be the door controls, because the driver would need to get up and turn around to reach the button, or practice yoga on his breaks:lol:
my local station is feltham so i get a mixture or 450s and 458s for reading or Windsor ER.
One thing that I've noticed with the 458, despite it being slightly older, is that once the doors are released by the guard, they'll open instantly with the press of the button.
On the other hand...
I'm starting at south west trains as a ticket office clerk in 4 weeks, are there any past or present ticket office clerks in the forums? I'd be interested to hear from other members about their experience with the role :)
