Wikipedia is not materially different from this forum in that it's not Wikipedia itself saying anything; it's the authors.

If the author is adhering to good practice principles they will be providing sources wherever possible/applicable.

    Ah, ok. I understand now!
I really want to get into 3d modelling and design for some reason.

Assuming you're talking about computer aided design, I suggest you give SketchUp a go. It's reasonably easy to get one's head around (in my opinion at least) and they have a pretty good free version that runs in a web browser (definitely Firefox/Chrome, possibly Edge/Safari too)

I've never done anything with that sort of thing before, but it can be very useful for things like Train Simulator and model railways - the latter increasingly so as more people buy 3D-printed products.

@abslom001 Good luck, but I fear you have left it far too late. I don’t know if it has changed in these times, but NR normally calls you two weeks after the interview. Usually from a No Caller ID number.
The class 185 is truly one of the best trains I’ve ever been one.

I wouldn’t say best (Class 22x definitely nicer) but the 185s are much improved post-refurbishment.

I am very fond of Class 755s Greater Anglia but yes travelling on 185s are very nice experience.
Judging by some videos of the first days of the Class 350 on TPE, I can tell it was a very exciting time...

Don't forget, it was over a decade at that point since passengers in the North West had seen any major improvements to their service whatsoever, and that's certainly not because there was enough capacity there to begin with...

Yes, so I could tell why they were excited. What a time early/mid-2010s was. Another reason for them to be excited was probably because that the Class 350 we're trains you would usually have in the south and not the north, so having it on FTPE is sort of a change. A shame it's life only lasted for 5 years...

The 350s on TPE were always only intended to be temporary.
Update on my 10-month-old service/railway idea thread: It is now designated as PURELY FANTASY and my rendition of the railways in britain. I was not aware that the forum section was for speculation back then (most likely because I was only starting on the website), however, there are some spaces for Fantasy threads to be created on Speculative Ideas. I am very sorry if that thread made no sense at all.

It's an old one. You probably won't remember or know about it anyway.
Unfortunately, BBC aren’t doing any live countdowns for the new year due to COVID stuff, so I’m just here in my room, celebrating by myself...
I saw a TfW D-Train stabled at Birkenhead North TMD!

TramPower in Preston just got the go-ahead. I should probably make a thread about it somewhere.

I wish there was a forum for Fantasy Ideas. Where you could put someone's ideas without worrying about unrealism. Japan has this sort of thing too called "Fictional Railways/trains".

You can simply use Speculative Ideas for this, but prefix the thread title with "Fantasy:"
Yes, I would like to throw my Goldfish down the toilet.

People who have been on a Virgin train toilet can only understand this.
I'm seeing many stations that we're opened in the 1990s in South Yorkshire, any reason for this?
    backontrack
    backontrack
The success of one reopening often leads to more. Plus, if the relevant local authorities are interested in opening a certain station, then they're also likely to be looking at others too. It's the same mindset.

Because of this, a lot of reopenings - especially in the 1980s and 1990s - have been on the same lines. The Far North Line, Glasgow South Western Line and Settle & Carlisle Line all have examples of this.
I just heard a horn somewhere out of my house. I'm sure it's a train horn since I live somewhere near railway tracks, but this time, it sounded different from a Class 508/507. It blew about six or seven times. Class 777 on test perhaps?

But then again, they don't usually go on test in the daytime, so I don't know what it is.

No, but I'm sure it was another train. Due to privacy reasons, I choose not to reveal my location directly.
I actually think I have been on a Fainsa Ironing board seat, I think it was on a class 331. I haven't been on a Desiro City since I don't really go south, but looking at some pictures of class 700 seats, and comparing them class 331 seats, they seem the same. The Class 331 could be slightly more padded. Could anyone who's been on both of these set's clarify this for me if you can?
    P
    py_megapixel
The 331s and 700s have the same basic design of seat in two different variants. The 700s have a more upright and less padded variant which makes them very uncomfortable. The 331s have a better angled and more padded version which, while not the most comfortable, is entirely adequate for reasonably short journeys.

FWIW I've not been on a 700 either, this is just what I've been told.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Hitachi AT100 & AT200. It’s too bad the AT100 weren’t used and the AT200 was only used on one operator, ScotRail. I personally like the older designs, I’m talking about the designs what we’re shown off at the launch in 2014. I’m not really a fan of the new designs, as shown in the portfolio video. But hey, that’s my opinion.
    P
    py_megapixel
Honestly the AT200 introduction was a bit of a fiasco though, especially when it came to light that the windscreens were the wrong shape.

Yeah, you might be talking about the class 385. I liked the launch designs better.
My name was supposed to be ''Tetsudo Boy''. IDK why i did that typo but i guess it's understandable.
