Poor behaviour from both. West Brom fans may have been no angels, but I didn't see them running amok and putting players, coaching staff and match officials in danger at that point

The sea of seats raining down from the top tier was just as bad.

Typical Pulis trying to divert attention away from the thugs in his own club.

So what do you suggest? Paltry fines don't work.

Or shall we just allow pitch invasions to become the norm until the inevitable serious incident occurs?

So do away with paltry fines and screw the clubs to the wall with BIG fines

If the watching morons wish to invade the pitch then let them, then make the clubs play behind closed doors with no TV cameras for a minimum of 10 matches, the morons might then wonder what's happened to their season ticket cash

I would hope this leads to sanctions (failure to control supporters?) and at the very least a review of staffing levels at Villa Park.

Hopefully it'll also lead to the FA considering police opinion a bit more too.

So for you the Yacob sending off was totally justified? If anybody it was Bacuna who was out of control, Yacob saw the ball and ran off with it!

No, that was not a sending off either (I only saw it after the game on a replay)

Ssh, you're upsetting the circlejerk

Well done to Dave Whelan for nearly inciting a riot today, stupid old man

Sadly I think our manager is going to be in trouble with the FL after his post games comments. The fix continues as refeeres continue to refuse to give us anything, yet another blatant penalty not given. We worked out on the way back from the game that is the FOURTEENTH incorrect penalty decision since the Birmingham game, that includes the.shocker against Bornmoth which was 5 yards outside the area..........ref gives a pen lol.

Least we won, great goal by Mowatt.

So what has Dave Whelan done now? There does seem to be something of a witch hunt against him recently.

I assume the "blatant penalty" was the incident with Billy Sharp? TV pictures on the FL show were inconclusive.

No, you just ban the clubs from the competition, or order games to be played behind closed doors. But then, how can Aston Villa FC be held accountable for a minority of idiots invading the pitch?

You only replay a game if the integrity of the fixture is such that the result is considered in doubt (fielding an ineligible player, or abandoned games for example).

The game was completed. Why would you play the whole sorry thing again?? Bizarre.

He gave an emotional pre match leaving speech....

The championship certainly looks interesting, 10 games to go, 1 point separating the top 5. Blackpool edging closer to being the first relegated team in the top 4 leagues by the looks of it

The Laws of the Game need to be read, looked at and understood in the wording of these that cover the responsibility of clubs to control their supporters. Police and stewards are one acknowledged method of achieving compliance but the number of these are surely important to allow the club to fulfil its obligations.

How many "idiots" were needed yesterday to constitute the actual figure of the "minority" to which you allude in your posting.

Watford's Forestieri should be banned for bringing the game into disrepute for his actions yesterday. Disgraceful.

Yeah 100% pen believe me, I was there.

The Whelan thing, he came out at 2.55pm just before kick off. There was 5000 Leeds fans there, i can tell you that 4900 either clapped him or remained silent, a tiny minority booed him. For the most we was respectful to the man. He then decided, half way through his speech to turn to us and start mouthing off. Shouting "Leeds fans can shut up, they've won nothing for 25 years!" before making some kind of gesture. I had clapped him before hand but then changed my approach totally and hoped he left fairly quickly, no need for his actions in a highly charged game especially after the majority of us had shown great respect to him, including our sizeable Jewish support. He can go back to his racist self for me, bye David.

The fine should be any money villa will get from reaching the semi, gate revenues, prize money, TV money etc. With the money being donated to a charity.

That will punish Villa for failing to control their fans

Absolutely, shades of that Rivaldo incident in the 2002 world cup.

A Newcastle v Nottingham Forest FA Cup tie back in the 70's was replayed after a pitch invasion so not bizarre at all in fact somebody else suggested just throwing Villa out of the tournament.

Callers on football phone ins suggested inadequate levels of stewarding and poor segregation arrangements with Baggies fans in a tier above Villa fans, I think the club have some explaining to do

Or perhaps someone should sort out the feral youths who put a Watford supporter in intensive care, currently in a critical condition after being attacked after the match. Among football fans it's well known that going to Wolves is likely to see you facing these utter scumbags afterwards.

To think I was going to take my 9yo boy to his first away game there yesterday. Thank God I erred on the side of caution.

As dreadful as that incident is lets not loose sight of how many people attend football at Wolves without any problem at all as I have done myself in the past

Overall its been a bad week for football.

I still take great joy from the fact that Rovers have lifted the Premier League at Anfield more times than Liverpool have even won the thing.

They are two separate matters.

On-field matters in no way justify off-field troubles, and vice versa. That idiot should feel the full force of the law. It's exactly this sort of (word not suitable for the forum) that gives all football fans a bad name.

You can add the actions of some Millwall fans at Rotherham last week to that list too. Makes Ollie look like a complete plonker criticising West Yorkshire Police.

Yes I would and I would imagine many young children attended the game on Saturday.

It has been a bad week but it needs to be kept in perspective.

Perhaps the frequency of pitch invasions also needs to be kept in perspective.

Thankfully I'm on an online forum and not a court of law so I need not provide any evidence

The FA should cut there allocation for Wembley

The FA is never going to do itself out of money. After all they decided TV rights were more important than safety

Although 4 in a game, I'm sure you'll agree, is pretty ridiculous.

After all they decided TV rights were more important than safety

What is this a reference to? Some of the late kick-offs allowing for people to drink more and get involved in more fights etc. ? (genuine guess)

Erm isnt it the clubs that agree with the timings for the money and also the clubs who have to provide adequate stewarding/policing?

If it was soley down to the FA then they wouldve told the beeb to have the Bradford games on would they not?

But if Cisse gets seven matches after admitting it, I'd like to see Evans get twenty matches.

That is a most novel idea that I would like transferring to the Crown Courts and Magistrates Courts. Just think of all the "scrotes and scumbags" who plead not guilty when they know they are guilty getting triple-length sentences for not telling the truth when found guilty.

It's definitely ridiculous to have 4 in a game but they still don't happen all that option and you are correct with it being in relation to a late kick-off for what is still a local derby
