Thank you, its nice to have a rough idea so I'm not checking my emails all the time.

To be honest tho, other's heard 20 mins after the dmi, and other's 5 week's later, there really is no definate time scale. Hope you passed tho. Where will you be based.

Hi guys,
First of all congratulations to all those who have passed their assessments, could I please request those who have done their DMIs to shed some light on what the DMI is like? i,e is it based on competency questions or general questions and a bit of knowledge about the company?

Thanks

It was a mixture of all three, make sure you know the basics about the company.

With regards to DMI,the questions I was asked were different to the ones they asked my friend 3 months ago.The 3 that were the same are.1.What do you know about GTR/Thameslink.2.Why do you want to be a train driver.3.Why are PA announcements important on a train.
The rest of the questions are-give an example of how......................Unfortunately I can't remember the exact questions as the interview was a bit of a blur, but take your time when thinking of your answers.

Hey guys, ive passed me mini-SCAAT (5 working days for notification) onto the assesment now. Just been reading through the booklet thats emailed to you. Whole load of worrying stuff in there especially the MMI haha. Would i be at a disadvantage being ony 23 just finished university and my only real work experience is in a retail role ?

Good morning all.

I've been invited to the Assesment Centre at the end of the Month. Any advice or insight as to what will be experienced?

Regards

Hello all.

I've been invited to the Assesment Centre for further testing. Normally, I would request a site/depot visit to familurise myself with the building and to show good practice and look around my possible working environment. Any experienced gents here think this request is suitable?

Not necessary for the assessment day and if you have applied for Cricklewood ,the depot is not open yet.

Is the mmi on the same day or you book in for that later if succesful ?

Just wondering so i know whether to prepare for a interview or just the practice attention and TEA-occ tests etc

If you are successful at the assessment day, you’re asked to sit a Driver Manager’s Interview (DMI), pass that and you’re asked to sit a MMI, pass that and you’re asked to pass a Medical. But in this case, the next intake of course dates will be in the Summer as the April/May course is filled.
