Are these Mechanically or Electricaly compatible with the 195s?

Were end gangways ever considered for these new units?
They are certainly possible, as all other UK CAF DMU orders are gangwayed.
One plus is a better cab for drivers.
Dare I suggest that a high quality cab may have been a sop for drivers to agree DOO?
I was unable to get the number, but a 331 just passed St Helens Junction a couple of minutes ago going eastwards on a test run.

Suggest all you want. It's not even remotely true but there you go.
The cab was designed in conjunction with Aslef, and has been fitted with all futureproof kit such as ertms and monitors for doo.
There is no way you could fit all this stuff in and have a gangway.

This one? http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/Y27995/2018/10/22/advanced
Seems like a freight almost passed it so a double whammy!
331102 was on this as was at Crewe earlier.Sounds like the train in question.
The meeting of CAF at Carnforth today. Northern 331 alongside TPE Mk5As
I think 331s will be allocated to Stoke services as these need better acceleration than 319s currently provide. Will these replace the 323s on the Stoke runs, or will that be given over to 319s?
The number has had the spaces removed which makes the number hard to read. However, all required digits are present including the country code (70). The last digit is the computer check number which only ensures that the number is correct. That’s a weird and unreadable way of displaying the EVN... shouldn’t they be following the standard UIC format (I believe these have been put on in the UK) ? Which should be, for LNW-GW Joint’s picture, 94 70 0466001-7. Plus the GB country code is missing, and also the VKM (Vehicle Keeper Marking).
331105Saw this 331 at Liverpool Lime Street this morning which I can confirm was a 4 car set, but strangely was not numbered.
How could you tell, as this unit didn't have numbers on both cab ends?331105
pics on the facebook groups and it's the only one without numbers. How could you tell, as this unit didn't have numbers on both cab ends?
