I find the weekends best. Pick of the pops, sounds of the sixties, sounds of the seventies, Paul O'Grady.

I can do without the showtunes though, and why must we have religious programming on both radio 2 and radio 4 at the same time ? Perhaps they should shunt the R4 Sunday service to R3.

Ah, EP on Sundays is the one of the things I enjoy listening to when I get a chance

Yes I like those shows too. I also like it when they have Alan Carr on too.

Ken Bruce is the only one at the moment who I can bear listening to. Evans and his sycophantic hangers-on are a real low point - I would have liked Sara Cox to get the breakfast slot because she doesn't take herself seriously and is a good DJ.

When I heard about this my first thought was "Who?!" followed by "Wasn't he on some reality TV show?"
X factor wannabe originally with not particularly good voice still what’s new there. Then Celeb Big Brother. That then qualified him to be a presenter apparently.

I don't think I've ever heard him. I'm usually out and about by that stage.

He used to have his own Saturday evening show with another lady presenter and he fills in when other DJs are away, he did 10 weeks in the Summer on Saturday mornings and was very good indeed.

By Co-Incidence, I am listing to Zoe Ball now on Radio 2 and it's quite good.

She ok but not Breakfast show material in my view, as for Clarke I won’t be listening I suppose at least on the radio you don’t have look at his expensive false teeth implants.

Yes, I expect she'll be good in the morning slot.

You should give Radio Caroline a try, now the longest running radio station in the UK, with a few enforced brief gaps it has been broadcasting for almost 55 years.

www.radiocaroline.co.uk is the main station playing a mix of album tracks and oldies. You can listen on line, DAB in a selection of UK cities (details on the website), and on MW in the south east.

Or click the link on their website for Caroline Flashback a separate online only station playing music just from the 60’s or 70’s.
Ah yes, Radio Caroline, the Ross Revenge and all that. The nearest thing we have to a 'heritage' radio station. A very worthy project. No DAB signal in these parts, though.

There are loads of oldies stations on the internet, but it's not 'proper' radio in my opinion. I see it as more like a sophisticated form of 'Dial-A-Disc' (for those who are old enough to remember that!).

Personally I thought that Rylan Clarke did an excellent job covering Zoe Ball earlier this year, but I suppose it's inevitable that some people will write him off without giving him a chance. He is an awful singer though!

I do think that Steve Wright's show is feeling a little tired now, I enjoy it more when Craig Charles or Gary Davies are covering the slot.

Sara Cox is excellent on her current late night show, hopefully she can adjust it to drive time, which is a show I often listen to at work, Simon and Jo started off poorly but I think they've improved in the mean time .
