People speaking the truth for once! Thanks for posting :)

Guessing the extra vehicles won't be branded, ideal for the peak working of the 242 which can be used elsewhere.

First I have heard of it. Doubt it as JMB and Stuart's have got carluke/Lanark covered. First tried Lanark before with 243/240 and it never worked out. Carluke lasted longer but again eventually pulled .

In terms of 107/109 again doubtful but you never know.

This was a JMB driver that said to me today ....... I think it would be a good idea to put an express to Lanark make it very cheap and that would really upset JMB and Stuart’s I no they had an express before but surely this time keep it on the road and do some damage to the 41 route of JMB as this is there best paying route

It would work this time if first went via law village. Since Stuart's no longer run into the village it caused a bit of a stink.

Don’t think that would be a good idea going into the law village as Stuart’s had some journeys going out and in and it wasn’t making any money . I think go the same way as the JMB from Strathclyde park to Lanark and make it a super low price like a very cheap two journey ticket from Motherwell to Lanark and that would definitely take customers of them .

There is zero chance of first putting an express through law village. Lanark has been rumoured since Stuart’s went on the X11 route through muirhouse. 107/109 also been rumoured since coakley went off nothing happening atm though.

I would suggest the peak extra 242 will get what it currently gets i.e a bus required by engineering later in the day. Branded 240 buses have appeared on this schedule regularly.

Didn't Dumbarton get B9's for 'The One' from Caley or are they based at Scotstoun?

I was confused with that too , they are Dumbarton based but only do the 1D AND 1c . Gives the Dumbarton guys and gals a chance to drive a decker. Used to think it was Scotstoun based bus with Dumbarton drivers.

Wonder how many Overtown drivers have driven a decker?
Most of them as it’s part of training when they first start. Also Overtown drivers work at Blantyre on Sundays. No difference driving a decker to a single anyway if anything I would say it’s easier to drive a decker.

Lots of overtown drivers have driven a decker as a lot of them worked in the Motherwell depot for years and worked in Blantyre depot before moving into overtown depot

First won’t go back to Lanark, waste of money they’ve been in and out too many times and lost the trust of the punters. Stuart’s won’t impact the X11 much, 241/0X morning time table is ridiculous, massive gaps in the timetable and I was driving the X11 last week and was still getting decent loads throughout the day.

Yep JMB and Stuart's have got carluke/Lanark covered. First running into law village would be the only plus as per the recent campaigns. Stuart's not serving it caused alot of angry commuters which resulted in spt having to step in to run a vehicle from law to Wishaw. So first returning the X10 possibly could work but perhaps not to Lanark and maybe carluke. Time will tell I suppose. First are up to something though as recently more vehicles have entered fleet than removed. Also hiring spree

The road into law from Carluke would not be suitable for a double decker bus imo also there is very low demand for a bus from law to Glasgow outside peak times despite the campaigns.

There are plenty rumours of first going to Carluke with an express against Stuart’s but nothing concrete atm.

Double deckers are fine. School deckers and Stuart's 240x deckers managed fine.

But yeah just rumours as I ain't heard anything about this until now

Fine for your private operators but first will not put a bus on that road it has low hanging trees and a blind corner at the top of lawhill.

Have only made 2 posts recently that was both today. One asking if anyone got a pic of the new vehicle at blantyre. Then thanking the person for uploading a snap of it saying they were for Overtown
Now I login to Facebook the group is gone and I cannot search for it either. Removed and blocked.

Some of the admins think they actually run the company. Don't tell people info boom blocked. Pointless

I would probably block you too to be fair. You do talk a lot of nonsense I mean you’ve appeared from nowhere on this forum but keep banging on about the new E200MMCs and how people who mistakingly thought they spotted them were “talking trash” as you put it. Maybe just maybe not everyone likes that. Just a thought
