I travelled from Derby to Birmingham last night on the 1M76 1935 Newcastle to Birmingham New Street - it was an 8 car but the back set was not in use (although this was not made clear on the PIS at Derby)

1S29 0531 Leeds - Glasgow Central is a double set between Leeds and York, rear set locked out of use as it detached at York and forms a Southampton from York.
Saves a ECS path from Crofton
No it doesn't, still 0531 from Leeds. Now it starts at York instead of Leeds.

As booked on a Thursday. The 14:25 Plymouth to EDI is a double the whole way according to Journey Check - normal or affected by events elsewhere just for today?
Does anyone have any information about what will be a double set in the summer timetable?
I assume the 11:25 Plymouth to Dundee no longer will be a double from Bristol, owing to the 10:05 Manchester to Bristol now continuing through to Exeter.
As booked.Monday 20th May 2019
1V46 0640 York Plymouth was a pair of voyagers 221141 / 220015
SC 43090
No. Single set throughout. Is penzance-Dundee going to be double voyager? seeing it’s staring at Penzance instead of Plymouth?
No. Single set throughout.
That’ll be fun. With being 1503 off Birmingham and 1621 from Sheffield.
We'll be travelling on the 07:05 Manchester Piccadilly to Newquay as far Exeter St Davids this Saturday (25th May) could anyone advise if this would be a 5 car 221 or 220? Also the same question for our return journey on the 10:47 Exeter St D - Stockport on Monday 3rd June. Thanks!

Whilst the 220s and 221s are diagrammed separately, the 4x 4 Car 221s are in the 221 pool and not the 220 pool so are placed on 5 Car diagrams as a result. Both are very likely to be 1x220/221.
Whilst XC do diagram services to be specifically 220 or 221, inevitably it often gets changed depending on fleet availability.
It's not unknown for even the 08:20 Aberdeen to Penzance to produce a 4-car 220 instead of 5-car 221.
07:31 BHM-MAN was a single last Friday and nothing on Journey Check so maybe things have changed around a little post-May TT change.

Booked as a single 5-car set on Fridays since the timetable change, which is what it ran as. It's reverted to running as a single set during the summer timetable in previous years, too.Journey check said 4 coach instead of 8. So a set was missing for some reason. Some Fridays you are lucky some you ain’t.

As far as I'm aware: Forms the 13:31 Birmingham - Manchester and 15:27 Manchester - Bournemouth.Really appreciate the quick reply. So is the only regular double into MAN now the Sunday one around lunchtime and back out around 3pm?
Saturdays its booked to be 2 x 220 infact the ECS 5E42 from Barton is 13 cars 5 x 221 detach for 1E42 Newcastle and 8 work 1H17. The reason is to get a double on 1012 to Bournmoth.Today the 07:31 from Birmingham New Street to Manchester Piccadilly is a double Voyager (I think 10 coaches but am not sure) does anyone know why this is as all the other times I have used this service it has been a single?
