Not once you've formally accepted the job, passed the medical, signed the contract, been "on-boarded" and given a date for school if not started already, which is how I interpreted the original question. All the other candidates will have been given their thanks but no thanks letters as soon as you passed the medical so the chances are that they'll have already found something else anyway. Readvertising a vacancy isn't a straightforward process for a LOM, it has to go back to the Route panel for approval all over again then HR need to go through their process which can take a fair amount of time in itself; the LOM would struggle to get it advertised within 3 months. So if you do decide to jilt your new LOM at the altar then you'd better be sure you're making the right choice! When selected there is always a second candidate who can be given the job if the first candidate fails any part (i'm the second candidate at the moment for a signalling job and hoping the preferred candidate fails the medical ) And your previous interview scores can be used at a new interview for up to 3 months. So the LOM could select the second person to save the process again.
