I’d have thought almost the entire possession programme (at least those for upgrades) will have to move right “across the board” by however many weeks they eventually decide?
Unfortunately Easter, Christmas and other bank holidays can't be moved in the same way. Extra blockades in the coming months may be inevitable but can't be planned until there is reasonable confidence that construction work can be done (which also means more people will be travelling again). Even if a particular project doesn't rely on closures at holiday periods, other projects that do may cause knock-on impacts. For example the strategy on blockades tries to avoid having them on parallel routes at the same time, and key people and plant might end up double-booked.

I would have also have thought that this and all other works will be delayed by several months due to the coronavirus pandemic

Rebooking all the specialist plant and people is going to be a logistical nightmare!
Lose your slot and you will be begging others to give up theirs or you could have a long delay.

Yep 6 month lockdown could easily be 18 month delay

But they will all be delayed anyway surely?
Why? If you have a still financially viable project ready to go for a July start date, and construction is allowed to restart then , you will be wanting all the plant and people you booked at that point, not a “you can have it when three months worth of other projects have finished with it (probably late).

Because we will still be in lockdown, non essential travel will be off the table most of the rest of the year and this non essential work puts people at higher risk of getting and spreading the virus so should be halted until the pandemic is over

Rebooking the blockade of the ECML ain't gonna be straightforward....

Construction work will be one of the first things released from lockdown

Obviously during the works through services will be split?
There’s a possibility of reduced through ECML services diverted via Lincoln, using the existing curve. But on the first Sat/Sun of the intended 9 day closure Kings Cross was to completely closed for it’s own work. (As mentioned over the last few days any existing dates are fairly unlikely to be used now.)

There's a short article about the Werrington dive-under on pages 20 and 21 of the RAIL magazine issue 901 dated 25th March to April 7th. RAIL 902 out on April 8th will have an update on the project by Paul Stephen.

I visited the ECML and the Cock Lane bridge on Saturday 4th April. All was quiet apart from the water pumps and a digger operating too far away for my phone camera to capture.

A close-up of the early stage of excavation possibly for the cutting that will lead into the dive under just south of the Cock Lane bridge. I have been informed it might be for a local water course in Werrington. I will keep an eye on it while we are still allowed out for exercise:
