Apparently from what I'm hearing 455 is being repainted into BR blue? Is that correct or too early to tell?

If so, the idea has really lost it's originality by now  I'd personally prefer to see it in the early SWT livery, but I suppose Stagecoach will own the rights to it.

NSE would be good. They must have spent longer in NSE livery than BR blue.

Ah good, it looks like they've changed the shade of Yellow to a more warning panel yellow than the lemon yellow they started off with.
I think it's just the photo.

Personally I prefer the lemon yellow. It's the same shade as Eurostar use.

Just the way the lighting in the photo has captured it I’m afraid. It’s very much still lemon yellow in person - which looks great as well in my opinion.

444004 just passed through Woking. First time I’ve seen it in the new livery.

444045 also went though earlier looking very clean!

This post on Facebook suggests the final 450 went for repaint this week.

To quote the section I'm referring to, it reads:
"In a rather unceremonious fashion, yesterday (5/2/24) was the last day of Stagecoach liveried Desiros in service"

Yes that is correct, U.450031 went into the paintshop on Tues 06/02 when U.450118 was released.

Hope that helps you.
Amazing thanks.

No more “Blue trains,” as I called them growing up.
458/5s certainly do not count before anyone tries it ;)

I'm feeling my age :). To me, "blue trains" were the all-over blue class 104 and 105 DMUs which, in the mid-1980s, I"d travel on from Bletchley to Bedford.
And the generation before me, will identify "Blue Trains" as the branding for Glasgow's AM3 (class 303) units, in 1960.

NSE would be almost impossible to make PRM compliant without making a complete mess of it. At least retro Blue & Grey still looks respectable when tweaked to make it compliant

As we reach the end of the 444/450 repaint programme, can I just thank all of you who have gone out of your way to keep us as up to date as possible with it all as it has been quite the process :D
