Just picked up a standard FGW HR email about applying for a role as depot driver at Old Oak Common. It says that after 18 months there would be the chance to go mainline. Too far away for me but might suit somebody?

Please excuse the lame/desperate question but on my application I put Chippenham as my nearest station (25 minutes) and I live about 50 minutes from Bristol TM. Reading the Forum, i now realise Westbury is a significant station and I only live 15 minutes from there. Is it worth calling and...

For those still waiting (me included) I only got the latest update email 10 mins ago so if you haven't had the one from HR then don't worry it will be on its way hopefully (I am not an expert, know nobody in HR and have been known to be 100% optimistic).

Been a busy week, how has it gone for everyone, well I hope?

I have applied for Bristol and I'm still showing as awaiting short listing but a few have already got dates on and around the 5th June. Good luck to everyone who's taking the tests today!
